Overview – Imperator Mar'gok assaults players with destructive Arcane magic and summons Arcane Aberrations to fight for him.
When Imperator Mar'gok reaches 85%, 55% and 25% health remaining, he activates one of the runestones in his throne room, augmenting his abilities with additional effects.
The runestones activated at 55% and 25% must be awakened from their dormant state. As they charge, guards arrive to defend the Imperator as Volatile Anomalies pour from the stone.

Damage Dealers –
spreads to nearby allies.
will inflict lethal damage if triggered.
Arcane Aberrations inflict heavy raid wide damage as long as they are alive.

Healers –
inflicts heavy damage when it expires from a target.
Arcane Aberrations will inflict raid wide damage every second that they are alive.
inflicts heavy damage to players as it moves over them.

Tanks –
will stack indefinitely until Imperator Mar'gok melee attacks a different target.
will inflict damage to allies within 35 yards when it expires.
Imperator Mar'gok will periodically summon Arcane Aberrations.

Warlocks look pretty good at the moment. There are probably some tweaks that can and might be made to bring some things up a bit. The issue is probably more that there aren't any fights where warlocks really shine, and they're just consistently good. It's a stark contrast to Mists where warlocks shined in everything... everywhere... all the time. Neither situation is ideal, and it's something we're keeping an eye on.

We've been observing feedback on the topic and wanted to give a heads up on two hotfixes that are currently undergoing testing (not ready yet) to address these concerns.

Increasing the spawn rates of elite creatures used for trapping.
Deadly Iron Trap will require players to have tap credit on the creature being trapped.

The hotfixes that were in testing from last night have been implemented and should now be active.

Flight Path Improvements in 6.1

We are making some huge improvements to the way flight paths work in 6.1.

There are hundreds of flight paths in Draenor. The way it works right now, if you don’t know a flight point, the flight master won’t use it as a connecting node when you're travelling from point A to point B. If you've missed a few flight points (which is very easy to do), this means certain flight paths are be much less efficient than they could be.

In 6.1, flight masters will use flight points you haven’t discovered as connecting points. This will make things much more efficient.

As a tank I can say that this isn't true in LFR. The other tanks would not taunt and it seems to cap at 20 stacks.Comment by MagnusmalumI agree the flight point change seems rather minor, and I feel that it only effects a small portion of people, and lazy alts. The loss of warlock mobility with wod caused me to lose interest in my lock entirely. I only play destro, and until i can move and cast something indefinitely... I won't be bothered leveling it to 100... even if it does have decent dps. My hunter never has to stop moving, idc if mages can't move and cast, I didnt bother leveling mine past 21.

Also, it realllllly looks like blizz is giving a big middle finger with no flying still, and I highly suspect that it will continue that way into 6.1 since they'll likely have more jumping/gliding puzzles... woo... hoo....If I wanted jumping puzzles I'd log out and play an elder scrolls game.

I so get why you didnt allow flying at first.. we'd have to hit n invis wall to stop us from jumping into tanaan jungle.. makes sense (not that there aren't invis walls out there in azeroth) but with 6.1 the only reason for disallowing flying is so people are forced to take it slowly getting around the jungle... and to preserve the integrity of jumping puzzles...

Only thing I can say I'm looking forward to in 6.1.. is the return of heirlooms and the big change that's to take place.. being able to level a toon from 1-100 with looms (regardless of looms be balanced or not) will be a nice plus I hope lvl 85 looms turn to the lvl 90 version and not the lvl 60 version :P I'm assuming ashran, will receive a fix? (assuming the que time is still ridiculous/requires and exploit to get in instantly) Sadly, I gave up on it and the apexis dailies altogether.

I'll jump back into WoD when flying is a thing, in the mean time, I loved what you did with MC (though i think some trash loot would've been nice, maybe breaking the fights up into wings?) can't tell ya all the qq I heard about groups getting kicked an hour or more into it. Also liked TMvSS, I say throw in stuff like this once a month rotating like the DMF. For PvP perhaps make other old pvp zones queable (halaa for example, maybe even revive a version of the game of towers or The Silithyst Must Flow). For the PvE end of things, we have PLENTY of old raids that could receive the revived MC treatment, AQ40 anyone? there are plenty of other old raids, I wouldn't mind Killing Onyxia again. rotate them around maybe 1 week a month different 1 every month, or have different one every week, have them retain lockouts.

OOOOooooOOOhhh.. to make it even more interesting, have the raids drop mounts, 1 mount per group, so those mounts stay elusively rare, but there's still some incentive to run them and they wouldn't require competitive gear drops making them necessary for raiders to be BiS etc.. and raids that didn't drop mounts could drop a rare pet/toy/xmog, MC could reward the core-hound for those that missed it during the anniversary event. AQ would still drop mounts from trash, which wouldn't make it more desirable than soloing... BUT! have c'thun drop a black Qiraji Battle Tank and there will be desire. i feel trolled by WoD's horrible itemization... reforge was put in because they acknowledged they had no idea how to itemize items... rather than removing Reforging, they should have removed the cost of reforging... but common sense isn't what blizz is known for is it?

as it stands, i am not going to bother raiding this tier knowing there are maybe 3-4 items that are worth my time chasing and the rest are wasted stat trash outshined by Warforged Heroic ilvl items. My time card runs out soon and then its back to waiting for next content update, vote with my wallet because they obv didn't bother listening to players during beta or this wouldnt have made it live.Comment by AeloreanWith regard to flight paths....

I've always felt that travel time sinks were the lowest form of game development in a hack-n-slash MMO. And, forcing players to do it just so they can see "all the beautiful and amazing artwork we did" is even more heinous.

That's just my feeling, of course ...so, I don't claim that it's a perfect solution for everyone (which is why I propose a toggle in the options window.)

Also, going along with this line of thinking, the cost of flying across the street from TotE in Nagrand and War'var (1 gold 3 silver 50 copper) is the same as flying from War'var to my Garrison. How do they come up with these prices? Obviously it's not distance generated. It's not connecting point generated. Is it arbitrary? Is it simply what the programmer thought about at the time they put in the flight path? Personally, I think it should be distance generated with a set amount for a set distance times the number of those set distances between the (straight line flight) points. Are they going to fix the orange fire trail of the Fel versions of Felsteed/Dreadsteed mounts on water running for a fel fire colour? I saw at WoW official forums and they are aware, but when are they going to put it?

Plus, your survivability is massive, quit crying.Comment by hipere00I understand your concern, Kil'jaden's Cunning has been nerfed completely and was not supposed to be intended that way since warlocks are the resilient class. Destruction Warlocks are now nerfed and in addition to that, I rarely see Destruction Warlocks as 1st place on dps and kills. The only spec I see often on 1st place is usually Affliction since lacking mobility does not discomfort the dps they can make, I on this occasion, have an Affliction warlock that can do massive dps and kills. Yet, lacking mobility in our part can be quite frustrating since most classes have better mobility than warlocks. Nerfing KC was a huge mistake and must be changed asap, because it seems everyone is choosing Archimonde's Darkness and I am getting tired of the fact that warlocks are no longer unique in terms of talent options. Destrution warlocks not being able to generate BE quickly is just very ridiculous and must be changed too becuase the Charred Remains talent does not improve the dps of the class, instead, it makes Destruction Warlocks less valuable and in some cases not being the choice for rated PvP environments or in PvE environments. This is a huge issue here, nerfing warlocks to make other classes "balanced" makes this change a complete disaster and must be reverted immediately.Comment by hipere00True.
