Tired of this argument. YOU DON'T LEARN HOW TO EFFECTIVELY RAID/PVP WHILE LEVELING! You learn game basics while leveling, and I do think it is silly for someone who has never played to start at 90, that is their choice, live and let die. So many butthurt neckbeards complaining about "ez moad this and ez moad that", yet how many of you whiners have cleared "current" heroic raids. A simple google search will show you the statistics from patch to patch. It's a pretty small margin when you consider the actual number of subscribers. So that leads to me one conclusion, all these whiners have no basis for their arguments. I believe the phrase is "put your money where your mouth is".
Honestly, i cant wrap my head around all this fuss, its >1< character to lvl 90, per account, not server, free when you buy the expansion. Simpler than pie. It doesn't matter if they skip 90 lvls, i mean come on! It's just a game, don't flip out about something if it's not worth flipping about. Take for instance the Death Knight, is it just me or did i not hear anyone complain about starting lvl 55? That's only 35 lvls to 90, instead of 90 lvls to 90. Everyone who has been playing for a long time doesn't even need to blink at this, you have already lvled(I'm sure) every class to 90 and would only be doing 10 lvls anyways. New people, who dont have 3-10 hours a day to play, are certainly going to enjoy this, they can finally get that lvl 30 that's been sitting around for ages to 90, or instantly have a high level character they just didnt feel like leveling. It's good in that way, like for example, I love mages, but lvling them is a royal pain in the butt, so im going to use mine on a mage, so i can just level it 10 times, and im good. You know what i mean? Like i said earlier, its free for ONLY the first time, when you buy the expansion, then they have to pay to lvl more to 90 instantly(technically it's not even final, that thing where we pay for more instant 90s), and having to pay is a great discouragement...its not that hard to play this game, we are a little too crazy about it. We shouldnt really be so proud of "leveling" a group of pixels to lvl 90, from throwing pixels at other groups of pixels, or attacking pixels with a pixel sword. It's chill...be cool...it's only a game....see-ya'll!~Huntersvenka~
All I see are a bunch of neck-beards complaining because they already have one of everything at max level already.I have a tan, and don't live in my moms basement, I for one would love to try out a random class at end game content and save time. But it should be an unlock, as in, you must have already had a max level character in any of the previous expansions. (hit 60 in vanilla and stop playing? come on back at 90. ect ect.) This does not exclude new players, since if they hit 90 in MOP they can still get their free 90.
What no one has said about the 1-85 experience, is it really teaches the *wrong* way to play a class, especially grouping up with vets. This is because the vets brute force content, completely sidestepping the mechanics that many say newer players should have to learn. Worse off is when someone wants to learn and follow the *correct* path, and the vets kick 'em because they can't keep up with the experienced tactics. How exactly are new players supposed to learn anything from that? When I level an alt, I don't even want to see another player until level 85, which goes completely against the two 'M's in MMO.
If a new player or an old returning player wants to boost one character up to 90 and skip contents, that's their business, not ours. They can always choose to do old contents first if they want, but if not they can always create and alt to do it.The main reason for this is to help the new or old returning players catch up to current content, so by the time they do hit 90. They're not miles behind gear while just about several others are already raiding in heroic gear. It's not fun playing catch up, I know all too well.I understand people that are upset on a free 90 toon being handed out, to some extent it's cheating when others had to work hard getting there. But keep in mind, everyone will be getting one free toon. If you're a player who hasn't been leveling a mage, this is a wonderful opportunity to have one at level 90 and level it to 100 from there. You won't have to go through all that annoying old quest and dungeons you done over and over, and I personally love the idea. If you're someone who already has all 11 classes. consider making a opposing faction toon. If you have 22 class with 11 for both alliance and horde, make your favorite class on a new realm. If for whatever reason you already have 50 classes at level 90, then I guess you're out of luck. Sorry for long rant.
I don't support the option to purchase a lv 90 , it makes a large portion of the game obsolete. However,i do agree that having only one free lv90 when you get WoD wouldn't be game-breaking.I agree with the option to buy max level professions , the way it is now almost all professions are useless until you max them , and even then you have to be lucky to have a rare recipe drop from raid trash ( looking at you 4.2 patch ) to have some profit and/or visible benefit on your character. The best option about professions would be to revamp them altogether, since TBC i realized that crafted items below the current raid tier were not worth the effort (excluding specific twink-desired items) (edit) apart from leveling up your profession.
tyrael charger.. ye pls :) that would be great, when i started playing wow i couldnt get annual pass bcs only ppl that played for more than a year could get it.
In the long run I don't think it makes any difference. I have argued that there needs to be a way to bypass levels for quite a while though I wouldn't want to see it be a cashstore thing since longtime players should be able to do it without having to pony up cash imo. I think there are two ways that would make sense to be put in the game as a way to bypass levels:a. tomes of xp which are purchasable with JP and which boost toons to 60 and then 80 or something like that andb. some sort of boa item that can be bought with gold or JP once you get two toons to max level and which gives a one time boost to level 60 or higher on a new toon. Some people do enjoy the leveling process but I think there should be a way to bypass it for people who have played through and would rather start farther along. Just no way to boost past 90 for now.
I like the idea, but I ponder on how much it will cost. Knowing Blizzard's terms, a heck of a lot.
I do not mind the idea of selling a level 90 character, I just wish it was not given high level professions and other things that will end up being included as flight speed or gold, they may even sell level 90 characters but only that it does not come with anything special. Only the character.
Nowhere talked about profession level 600 and now they are talking about, what makes you think that there is the possibility of adding other things.Gold and flying mounts were just examples.Even after being level 60 I still think that there should be no such inclusion of professions.
As I've said before, I think it's excellent there's a boost from 1-90 now, because WoW is now indeed about end game. The problem is that for some ungodly reason there are these extra ten levels now that you'll have to waste time grinding through to get to end game, which is what the game is about. I just can't get my head around why they've wasted all this time making stupid Draenor, it's just somewhere you'll have to grind through again and there's no point in that. Why can't they make it free level 100s? God, Blizzard! No one wants to grind! I also don't understand why they've kept an entire world in the game, what a pain in the butt to have to travel these crazy long distances for no reason when you should be able to just port into instances, no one wants to waste time traveling! Get rid of the rest of the world, the resources Bliz is spending on maintaining those zones are resources that could be much better used to making end game content like giving me gear. It's about end game, ffs! I don't need a bunch of zones! Also please change the name 'world of warcraft' to something like maybe 'raidcraft' or something so it's not misleading, players can get very turned off by being told they'll have to drag their behinds through long distances all over a world.

Just after I made a comment about how wow isn't pay-to-win, they go and do this. Part of "winning" is reaching new levels. Now, if you have the dough, you can get all that "win" without having to work for it in-game.Having a lvl 90 handed to who buys the new x-pac is not pay-to-win, because everyone gets the same thing, and no one has a greater advantage. But this is clearly a step toward pay2win.Not to mention... And I though a lot of level 90s don't know how to play their characters NOW. Just wait till this happens. We'll have lvl 90s joining dungeons with us constantly wiping the group because they never had to learn their abilities as they leveled. Thanks Blizzard, Jerks! If you put this into effect, you are officially becoming a pay2win enterprise.(Blizzard is no longer a journey oriented game. It's about destination now, the heck with journey and adventure. Perfect for catering to this impatient "I want it now!" world.")
