I'm curious to see what would happen if the person Symbiosis was linked to changed specs. Would the original power swap be maintained, would the exchanged powers also swap to fit the new spec, or would the spell just drop altogether and need to be re-cast? I see major potential in just having say an off spec Blood Death Knight in the raid just to give the additional cooldown. This will certainly be interesting and change the dynamic of raiding a bit.-----Edit: Oh god... I just saw that Boomkin's will be able to get Mirror Images (not to mention that's the only DPS boost option they have... odd). The Moonfire spam could cover the screen. xD

Most people here clearly havnt read the developers notes about symbiosis. The spell is not ment to make dps-classes dps even better, its not ment to give healers another heal or CD, its mostly for utility. And utility is not usable in pvp only, if you think so you just have poor imagination. Sure tanks/guardians are mostly given survival-abilitys, but on the other hand survival is what tanking will be focused on in MoP. -Best Balance spells gained: Misdirect (from Hunter), Mirror image (from Mage) etc. Bah, most spells gained are very usefull for a team player. Dont forget that balance-druids are supposed to off-heal when $%^& hits the fan, so Anti-magic shell, Purge and Mass dispell fits that role very well. (I do agree Intervene is somewhat lackluster though..)-Best Resto spells gained: uhmm... all of them tbh. Restos need more defencive CDs, and even if Leap of faith isnt like the best spell in the game, it not useless either, for helping partymembers out of harms way (dont stand in fire, lol).-Best Guardian spells gained: Consecration (from Palys), Boneshield (from DKs), Ice trap. -Best Feral-dps spells gained: Feral spirit (from Shaman), Redirect (from Rogue), Play dead (from Hunter). Dont know about Death coil, how will it work? A ranged, no CD, no cost ability? sounds unrealistic, will probably be changed.When it comes to what abilitys the targeted class gains, I see Palas, Warlocks, Hunters, Rogues and Warriors (druids wont get much good from a warrior/druid combo, but the warrior will) as the clear winners. The loosers (so far) are dps-DKs, healing priests, and shamans. But remember, things WILL change, and even if not, not every class-combo could possibly be imba. Some are useful for movement fights, some purely for pvp, some are survival CDs etc, but the main thing here is: If you dont like the spell you get from targeting one class/specc, all you have to do is to use it on another player. As others have said, this is a druid spell. Druids should use it to get an ability they need for the moment, what the tergeted class gets is kind of a bonus isnt it? The only exception here could be resto-druids: most gained abilitys for restos are some sort of survival-CD, wich one doesnt really matter imo, so use symbiosis on the raidmember that gets most out of the trade (in most cases, a tank). I mostly play druid and hunter, and let me tell you: Dash on a hunter is going to save your äss sooooo many times. Is it a dps-increase? No. Can it save your life in a pinch? Yupp.Misdirection and a moonkin: awesome! When your tank is struggeling to pick up spawning adds, smack misdirection on him and activate Starfall and go all out aoe.... sweet if you ask me. I really like the Tank druid, pala healer combo. As a bear-tank in a 10man raid you cant always make use of your battleress (for example: the other tank dies, and your being focused by the boss. No chance to BR). Use symbiosis on the palahealer and he can use the BR, AND you get the awesome Consecration wich of course is super-usefull for tanking.Resto-shamans get prowl? Sweet! One step further to my "all stealth group". Healer shaman, Druid tank, + any combo of rogue/hunter(with stealth camo)/druid dps. Rogues, stop QQ about Growl: this ability can save an entire raid/party from wiping in the hands of an intelligent player.
I don't think this is meant to boost your ability at whatever role you're doing; I think it's to give you more utility and let you do things you previously couldn't do.
