if they would be hunter they would have limited pet options

For the record, I race changed to a Tauren Paladin about 60 minutes after my server came up. I was heartbroken at having to be a blood elf (I disagree with them and don't enjoy their lore, they are nasty little critters) and I had to suffer for years as a blood elf paladin amongst a sea of bad blood elf paladins. Finally, i look and feel like a tank, and am a member of a race that i don't despise!
i agree with all who dont like the new Night Elves being able to roll as a mage, the difference between arcane magic(and the like; Fire/Frost) and naturalistic magic is what divided them and the Highborn elves, the Highborn wanted to study and explore the Arcane, and were exiled for this exploration, the Night Elves being of the Nature branches of magic and the Highborn(Blood Elves) being of the Arcane brach is the separating factor between them, eliminating that factor is dabbling deep in the lore and while i understand that Blizzard certainly has the power to alter their own lore, i find it distasteful and not clearly thought through just how much history they changed with this new class being opened up
Look guys, your complaints are silly.Human/Undead Hunter = Perfect sense, no arguments to be had.Dwarf Mage = Always been part of the loreNight Elf Mage = The Re-acceptance of the night elves who didn't end up becoming addicted or following Azshara and being turned into Naga. The fact that Night Elves played with magic doesn't mean anything, they were exiled for obsessing and bringing the Sundering upon Azeroth.Gnome Priest = There are Gnome Warlocks, so I'm assuming their focus is on the Shadows for the most part (with a little balance thrown in by adding in the light) Paladins would make no sense.Dwarf Shaman = Seriously if you have a problem with this you know nothing of the lore. First of all: Wildhammers, Second: They are people who believe they were made from the mountains (or similar) they definitely have close connections with Azerothian earth.Dwarf Warlock = Goes right in hand with Mages, Dark Iron dwarves have been locks forever as well.Blood Elf Warrior = No reason to not have it, you can be addicted to magic and still rage.Orc Mage = There are Orc Warlocks already, and Thrall may not enjoy Arcane magic but he's no longer in charge.Tauren Paladin/Priest = If you are a Paladin or Priest and a Tauren, you are a Sunwalker. This means that instead of following under empowerment of the Moon you instead gather power from the Sun. Naturally, this gives you power to become a warrior of the light and to use the light in the ways of a priest (only practicing shadow magic in the name of balance). This one almost makes the most sense. Stop being jealous of my Retbull yo.Troll Druid = They've always been in touch with nature and its spirits, take a look at the Loa they worship. Druids are in touch with the spirits of nature, Trolls have been as well, this was inevitable.Troll Warlock = Voodoo and obvious practice of dark magic in the past. It makes more sense than it seems. Now for the hard ones =DWorgen/Goblin DK = Goblins make total sense, Worgen are a stretch but MAYBE HE ENSLAVED A BRONZE DRAKE AND TIMEWARPED HIM SOME WORGEN PROS? idk, this one doesn't make sense but since you have a dragonflight literally traveling across time anything like this could be possible.Worgen Druid = This gets explained best during the starting zone.Worgen/Goblin Hunter = Worgen makes perfect sense, as wolves are hunters and humans have nothing restricting them either. Goblins have always been using other people/creatures/etcetera for their own benefit and nothing really stops them from being hunters. As opposed to Gnome hunters, Goblins are bigger, more fierce, and...SMARTER ]:< YEAH I SAID IT, WANNA FIGHT ABOUT IT? No but seriously, Goblins fit the role better, especially given the fact that they are a bit more in touch with how nature works than Gnomes are.Worgen/Goblin Mage = No contestWorgen/Goblin Priest = Worgen are human, human priests have been around forever, the balance of light and shadow makes this possible where Paladin does not. Goblin Priests are no contest, imo, but if you must worry about it then the fact that there are shadows involved kind of makes it make sense without argument. Idk if they worship anything but there's no reason they couldn't have picked it up 'cause it looks cool amirite?Worgen/Goblin Rogue = No contestGoblin Shaman = They are in touch with nature enough to at least understand it, and when you see their totems you'll understand immediately why it makes perfect sense despite this.Worgen/Goblin Warlock = No contestWorgen/Goblin Warrior = No contestThere. Now stop your QQ.
Of course i gonna be Dwarf Shaman!
Yes, my level 80 Blood Elf Priest is now a level 80 Tauren Priest.http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/icecrown/sacremoo/
there are a looooooooottttttaaaaaaa troll druids being made.http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Kael'thas&cn=NekkaraNight Elf --> Troll :)
And also, I think they are allowing you to play these 2 weeks before the release of the actual expansion content to give players a chance to be able to get a fair start on server first: >class / race here< (for those who don't want to pay for a race change)
OMG all this moan moan moan about what cant be what!to allow every race to play every class would be boreing
Come Cata the Worgens can be druids so I think it gets balanced that way. And since they are half animal anyway the shapeshifting will be very easy for them.
