I like the christmas holiday in WoW the most, because: I can transform into a gnome. I can get free presents. I can kiss my guildies without they say I'm a complete perv! and last I can transform my mount into a reindeer! W00T! :D
Winter Veilits chrismas, we get presents in ogrimmar, there are snowballs and you get to summon your little helper :)
Halloween was always my favorite holiday growing up as a child.I was surrounded by more "gothic" toned entertainment such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and I fondly remember playing Diablo 2 alongside my mom as young as maybe 8 or 9. One can only imagine all that coming to life in front of somebody so facisnated with the darker elements of fantasy at that age would just be literally the best thing ever. And it was. Until I noticed an extreme decrease over the years of decorations, parties and even trick-or-treaters. It was probably the worst this year - Our house was the only one decorated. Here I am as a young adult just baffled by the sheer lack of participation in this holiday. It depressed me seeing as how the one thing that made me happiest as a child was practically a shell of it's former self to the kids running around now.Hallow's End was practically the one thing that kept me tied to the joy the holiday in reality used to give me. People on my server roleplaying trick-or-treating, halloween parties and the sheer amount of effort put into virtual costumes...I was baffled. This was my first Hallow's End in game. Everything about the event just felt so right. ((Aside from the Horseman not dropping ANYTHING for me. Curse you! You smell of poo! Forever without helm and sword, and grinding for that horse became a bore!))I honestly don't know what I would have done without that tie to Halloween being the best holiday. Thus, Hallow's End is the best in-game holiday to me.
I'd say my favorite has always been the Pilgrims Bounty since it reminds me of Thanksgiving when I get to spend time with my family and friends :)
Winter's Veil is my favourite, i just love the feeling of warmth it brings and ofcourse presents! Good luck on winning a pet to everyone!
Easter
The Midsummer Fire Festival has to be my favorite, it was the first holiday event I took part in, and I still have fond memories of dancing round the Fire Pole in Westfield with a Tauren, not something Night Elves normaly did much of back then! I still enjoy the Fire Pole dance to this day.
i like hallows end best i like doing all achievements and eating all the sweets lol
Day of the dead for sure! You can confuse EVERYBODY by being undead! It makes for some great PvP greifing.Plus, down here near Mexico you actually do see some celebration.
Hallow's End for sure, gotta get my mount, helm, mini pet, candy, and who can forget the best part other then druids? COSTUMES! 100% best time of the year
Winter Veil. I have fond memories of turning my mount into a reindeer and jumping off cliffs using Noggenfogger to float so that I could take "flying" screenshots back in Vanilla.
SECOND TRY !
It's difficult to choose just one holiday as my absolute favorite. It comes down to a tie between Brewfest and Midsummer. But since I have to pick, I'm going to go with Brewfest (which, I realize, is totally unoriginal). Here's why:I'm from Wisconsin. I love beer in all its myriad flavors and methods of brewing. So when Brewfest first came out, I was stoked and started in on all the quests right away. Brewfest was also the very first in game Holiday I truly participated in because right before Brewfest opened up in 2008, the Achievement system was introduced. And one of my very first achievements was "Does Your Wolpertinger Linger?" on October 14th, 2008. It wasn't until a year later that I finished Brewfest completely for its meta achievement. And after I finished it, I had a strong urge to start in on "What a Long Strange Trip It's Been". It would take me a year and a half to complete it.So Brewfest was the Holiday that started my grind to a Violet Proto-Drake. Every year I participate in it, if that only means getting a few brews out of my Blue or Green Stein, taking the Wolpertinger out for a ride as I race through Ironforge on a speeding Ram, or delivering barrels of brew as quickly as possible on another speeding ram. That's why Brewfest is my favorite holiday. Beer, Epic Polka Music, Meta Achievements, and the ever awesome Wolpertinger.
