Uh, yeah, there's a reason why games like PAYDAY 2 and shows like Breaking Bad don't teach you how to actually cook meth, or why Fight Club lied about the recipe for napalm. Some knowledge is inherently dangerous, and if someone is acting aggressively suspicious about it, it's almost certain they're going to use that information for evil purposes. A young Tom Riddle asking "innocently" about hiding pieces of your soul in other objects, or Kim Jong-un wanting to know the specifics behind splitting the atom. I could go on and on with both fictional and real life examples, but you get the point.Unless you wanna tell me your Social Security #, your date of birth, mother's maiden name, and all your account passwords.. you get the idea. Information wants to be free, absolutely, and most things SHOULD be something you CAN learn without restriction. But not everything.Zovaal was one of those kinds of people, and he clearly pressed hard enough that the other Eternal Ones agreed that he needed to be contained before he did unlock the knowledge he sought from their sigils, and made the Shadowlands (and beyond) worse. Simple as that, really. Considering what he did to Mr. Runecarver once he learned how to make the likes of Frostmourne, well, they were correct in that belief, too.If you somehow still don't get it, well, I've got this lovely book here penned in blood, bound in human flesh and written by one Abdul Alhazred you're welcome to read..
-Oh cool, we get sigils that embody our covenant+ITS PROBABLY FOR SOME SECRET KNOWLEDGE, GIVE IT TO ME-Dude, no+THEN ILL TAKE IT BY FORCE10/10
...So basically, the Jailer seems to want to do eeevullll stuff with the Dragonballs sigils? I'd assume the sigils are insanely powerful magical artifacts-- possibly used to invoke some kind of doomsday scenario when all are gathered together?Frankly, I find this development refreshingly generic.
Not interesting since it feels so rushed... i dont know the pacing is all weird and he doesnt feels that threatening.
Presumably he gets the Winter Queen's sigil, given what we know of the raid.
LOL@ Jailer being a good guy for seeking knowledge. The pursuit of knowledge isn't the same as being good. He wasn't seeking knowledge either, he was seeking power. Also he was willing to use murder, theft and imprisonment to meet his ends. His goals were selfish and egotistical. Nothing about his actions are good. The pursuit of power for the sake of power over others is the epitome of evil.
"forbidden knowledge."Typical Wow mystery box.How many bosses have said something like "if only you knew what I knew" and then died without saying anything? It's as much of a cliché as "merely a setback."
