My biggest pain as a destro main is how restrictive Madness of the Azj'Aqir is. 5 seconds to cast another chaos bolt whilst factoring in boss mechanics and such is awful! Not to mention you really only have 4 seconds due to global cd. Without haste buffs like hero/PI you can realistically only cast a maximum of 2 incinerates between each chaos bolt or you lose the damage buff. As a raider, I often find myself gravitating towards affliction on reclear/high mobility fights, simply because of how awful Madness is.
For aff I really hate to use Malefic Grasp in my rotation. It's horrible how the warlock aff is used after WOD.thats why I didnt use aff after legion. Malefic Grasp just sucks as spell.
Side note : can we get the imp voice lines back please ? i really miss em :')i know this isnt related to the class playstyle but i will keep mentioning this in every post that relates to warlocks in any way >:(

Doesnt matter what they do, Warlock is clearly the golden child and will remain near the top.
Madness of the Azj'Aqir sould get the QoL to last 8 secs not the bugged 5 It currently is. I know that would trivialize the buff and begs the question why not just toon Chaos Bolt to do damage to which I saw I'm all for and just remove Madness of the Azj'Aqir all together. Channel Demon Fire also channel while moving would helpThe cataclysm recommendation above is solid too.
Blizzards chosen class will get nothing and like it.
One weird little thing I wish would come back is the ability to toggle off Fire and Brimstone's AoE effect. I use it on my default set up because I mostly do old solos for transmog, but there are times it's annoyed me in current content by pulling stuff I don't want pulled because a neutral mob wandered 1 yard closer at the end of my cast.
Can you warlocks stop complaining for atleast 1 season ? You had your golden moments times and times(entire shadowlands,chaosbolt spec BFA ROFL, aff in legion) and you still want more, honestly the only thing that deserves some love and attention in your class is Aff, which should be reworked because the design is meh, other than that demo and destro should be buried until DF's end lmao.

Affliction and Destruction need Seed of Corruption and Rain of Fire to be baseline. It doesn't feel great to have to waste a talent point on these integral AoE spells when mages get Flamestrike and Blizzard baseline. Even Demonology gets decent AoE presence baseline whereas Destruction has nothing but single target in their baseline kit.
I'm sure warlock will get more talent changes in 10.2 meanwhile hunter and rogue continue to get nothing but minor numbers tuning. Warlocks get more attention than most classes and are always meta.
What I really want is for the Void Walkers to be replaced with Felguards as the baseline tank demon and Demonology can then get the Doomguard. Void Walkers aren’t even demons, they’re void aberrations and it’s super immersion breaking to have them around.
Strange how the "golden class" seems to change every few patches or so
I just wish destro would have SOME form of baseline AoE beside just two targets cleave with havoc
Warlock just feels really bad to play right now in M+, in all three specs. I can't even put my finger on why, but compared to SL where all 3 specs had a chance to shine it just feels slow and non-competitive.Granted I'm fairly casual and don't run anything higher than +22-23, and my weekly vault farm is just 17-18's, but it feels like my window to match other spec damage is just harder to hit for less reward.
