The mail must flow!
I think the main take away is definitely they have never done something to this scale before, but anyone can tell you that major patches and launches ALWAYS HAVE DELAYS.
So as expected it was the clone thing that proved to be the issue.
Maybe if you didn't rush this to mess up other companies launches and to show your stock owners big numbers you could have done this correctly.
...So far, it feel exactly like OG BC!
Must. Have. WOW. Going through withdrawl
Also, if you have always made us clear our mail before copying toons you could have pushed all mail through or returned when you took down the AH for DAYS.... I bet one of the people you fired would have thought of this too.....
All good. I can take an extended sleep time in the meanwhile.
All you people who forget to check the mail after the AH went down broke the game
please i had like 500 stacks of runecloth in the mail please
i'm quite satisfied with how in depth they went into the cause of this issue, while they didn't have to at allprops to the guys at blizzard who insisted on posting an update about the maintenance situation
Yea I guess you don't normally copy mail, but some people have been using the mail as a storage extension so this might be insane for classic.
Wasn't there a "maintenance" in Vanilla that lasted a week? As I recall, it was so long that Blizz gave everyone a week's game time as compensation.
So far...this feels like the original BC! Memories!
So......... My guess is that the items in the mail weren't properly copied, and they are basically checking everybody's mails manually.Well that's gonna take long.
You guys wanted the authentic TBC experience. You got it.
You know what? I'm pretty okay with this.I'd rather see this than watch Blizzard follow in Jagex's footsteps and spend months trying to manually restore tens of thousands of characters.
