Pretty sure as a Brewmonk Main, we'll continue to use scale + DPS/another defensive trinket. We won't use thisThe nine trinket provides more defensive value still, and guardian trinket slaps. The one minute CD is nice tho, the only thing making it considerably relevent. But the frontal line urgh no Ty. I'm sure it might be good for other tanks though.
That doesnt seem like the accurate scaling for Elegy still, and if it is thats just a dead drop. I would say there's no way the trinket drops with that amount of stats on it but then again...
Yeah looks a bit low obviously it'll end up being the same ilvl/stat weight as ocular gland
In terms of total secondary stats given, the Elegy of the Eternals now seems to be on par with Titanic Ocular Gland at the same ilvl but only if all 4 other party members have the same covenant (i.e. Titanic Ocular Gland gives 40% more secondary stat at the same ilvl if no one else is the same covenant). That's basically never going to happen. If I were balancing this I would maybe make Titanic Ocular Gland only have 10% more than Elegy of the Eternals, so if you have 1 other party member then they are equal, and any more is a bonus.Keep in mind that Elegy of the Eternals is probably going to be like 13 ilvls higher than a Titanic Ocular Gland of the same difficulty (e.g. Heroic Elegy of the Eternals vs Heroic Titanic Ocular Gland)
Kinda wrong way of handling Elegy imo, should've buffed other trins a lot to make them all OP since it's the last patch and it'd have been nice to blast even more. Oh well no good trinkets in SoFO it is.
The elergy is crap. Less stats than gland and the 10% isnt multiplicative. So one trinket can only grant someone else of your covenant 7 stat. It doesn't increase your benefit if you have people of the same covenant in your group. You still get the flat stat. Your benefit if you have 4 others of the same covenant per trinket is 7 stat to each of them meaning 28 total, combined value of a little over 100 stat, but the 7 stat to your group members is actually super small. At max benefit if all members had the trinket you would only get around 100 stat total. Crazy small benefit for requiring the group set-up for 5 people of your same covenant to loot the trinket. Make it either add that benefit your bonus in addition to giving it to your party members, increase the base stats, or increase the benefit to other party member by 30%.
Hybrid build VDH here, BSS and soleahs/ticking sack in 9.1 was my go-to, and it seems BSS and soleahs will still be the best option. Soleahs is great for m+ if you play with the same players, and the BSS is just unrivaled in performance/use.
one thing to note: gland didnt have 100% uptime and had a negative effect. in practice you had maybe 95%-98% uptime thus reducing the value of the trinket by 5%-10%.
but still 73 stat is nothing. there are way better dungeon trinkets for crit haste etc which much higher values you can activate with your CDs.
People forget the stat on elegy scales to a higher ilvl than the gland, and on a mythic ilvl will provide closer to 120 secondary stat, which can theoretically add another 45ish secondary stat, if all party members are the same covenant. Is still abit too reliant on optimal circumstances, and a better tuning would be to grant a bigger % stat to your partymembers, or just make it into a gland 2.0 to avoid ovrrly complicating things when trying to build your optimal raidgroups.
Replying to Missino, I agree, as I play Brew too.I could see this is an initiator into a large pack that will hit like a truck during fortified week.
Perfect, my 2 bis trinkets are from M+ now...ez life! They Just made that boss obsolete to me which i love :D
The Pantheon trinket will go up to 278 ilvl, so the secondary stat gain for you and your party will be way more than what you gain from Ocular Gland. The trinket has an issue in that some specs prefer stats that are dead for others. Necrolord Spriest prefers Haste and for Necrolord WW Monks that's a pretty dead stat.
Classic blizzard move.Months of PTR and feedback and they throw in and tune trinkets at the very last moment, leaving them untested. Then nerfs them to the ground so that noone picks them, problem solved.
