I've been doing Torghast as a Disc priest and found two hilarious builds:1. Mawrat build: Anima power that makes mawrats explode + the one that makes all other mawrats spawn about 5 other rats when you use mind control. How to play: Find a mawrat > clear the room but keep it alive. Find another mawrat (skip if the previous room already had more than one) and mind control the one following you, this will make them all spawn 5~6 if a small channel finishes. Roleplay as the piper piper of Hamelin until you find a group of enemies you want to nuke down. Kill one rat (no need to AoE) and watch the fireworks.2. Masochist build: Anima power that makes the damage you heal with Shadow Mend add to the damage of your next Mind Blast and the one that makes the damage you take add to the next Purge the Wicked. How to play: Get hurt by a trap and heal back up a few times. One Mind Blast or Purge the Wicked (or whatever the untalented version is) usually one shots anything if you stack enough, so you get two kills for one round of prep.
And as a druid i got buffed roots...1k damage while they expire or 300% more damage before it breaks... YAY
For me, I wish mm hunter more choices than just 20 to 30% damage buff on one spell. Like it's so boring, getting 30% dmg buff on aimed shot or kill shot. Damage buff on steady shot by breaking pots was a good idea but, it's very useless since steady shot is our most used focus generating spell. We barely get enough stacks before we have to use aimed shot since we're out of focus mid fight. And who cares about 20% dmg buff on kill shot ? The only thing that most hunters go for is the misdirection buff which they mostly use on their pet, any hunter does that. It feels like that the focus on anima powers for hunter is misdirection dmg buff and traps
I like the druid power that makes roots deal 2k dmg/tick. I got 4 of those one run and would just run into a room, mass root everything and then everything would die
Necrolord Unholy DK, if you get the power, that makes your slappy hands extend by one second for every rune you spend, twice, you can have an uptime of 1.5 minutes on an ability that is 12 seconds normally.(The boss was dead for 40 seconds before the ability stopped)
What good is turning a voidwalker into a "raid boss" when half the time the wing bosses ignore that voidwalkers taunt when you rip agro after 3 globals?
I felt terrible throwing the orb at the broker, but I also LOL'd the first time I did it X)too many times did I get to the last room and realised I had forgotten to use the orb...
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. Rogues gets killed on any boss within 5 seconds in L2/3, we can't do 700k dmg in 5 seconds, certainly not wearing pantyhose they call it leather, no regen, no health ability, nothing, our anima powers are the worse and don't help us in any way for bossfights. Why give us stupid extra dmg anima power when we die within some seconds anyway? If a friend carries me and tanks I do 5k dps on single-target bosses, but solo you're the same worth of a mawrat, you get destroyed. Talking about rediculous.... and because of rogues being underwhelming nobody takes rogues with them to m0 dungeons or you need a premade group you already had in BfA. This expansion is not made for new people, please stay away, you'll only get behind with every content they release and get frustrated while you see others RUSH m0 dungeons on their ALTS since week 2. Very fun indeed. Well played! Hurrdurrism devs.We can't even do heroics by now, as m0 rushers that are locked spam HC first boss for legendary power and all leave immediatly, we get behind every single day more and more. In LFG Custom they decline all rogues, if we create one ourselves and we have 170ilvl and they have 150ilvl, they see a rogue and leave the group again. Thank you newgens, metacucks, copying your vision from online guides, narrowminded af. Same like it was in classic, kids thinking you can only clear low lvl vanilla dungeons with 3 mages. All I read here is "hilarious, laughable content", give us a video of a rogue, good luck finding one.
And here I thought my 144k evis x2 was impressive. These blow my sub rogue out of the water lol. Also sadly I rarely get the powers to make this happen consistently. If any rogues are curious, you need 1 each of Reverberating Strike, Ringing Doom, and First Steps. Bonus points for multiple The Last Blade powers. Reverberating StrikeRinging DoomFirst StepsThe Last Blade
Assassination Rogue here, Solo I've tried Torghast twice as a 145 lvl. Layer 1 floors 1-5 were easy but slow. End boss 260k boss tried everything I had and only got him down to 25% health. I was trying to kite and then he reset on me. I've attempted twice now again the floors easy but the end boss impossible.
I cleared both sides last night as a BM hunter and Mortregar side where the mobs would drop a black pools, I picked up a buff that allowed me to soak the pools and heal myself, instead of being damaged - I didn't need to use my spirit pet to heal me at all. Having the kill a mawrat and buff HP was very helpful.I also got the buff that my MD pet would get 90% damage reduction and another buff that increased its damaged (while MD'd) 20%. All the while, casting huge Tar trap pools and flare, with the occasional Arcane bolt freebie whenever I did a crit
mages one shotting bosses, meanwhile rogues struggle to survive, and without kyrian its nearly impossible to kill the boss if u have no luck on good anima... what a laughable balance
Not for bosses really, but if you get several Curious Bramblepatch you can melt some things without starting combat, at least while soloing. Useful for those mobs that vanish partway through a fight, thinning a group to a reasonable size, or clearing two sides of a room at once.
I've been playing this game as a rogue since '08, went through a lot of ups and downs with many challenges, but nothing I've encountered in-game has prompted me to comment on my experiences until now. Torghast is very fun and an insane challenge for particular classes; however, playing through this as a rogue (assassination no less) is borderline painful. Before I realized I could just complete the 3rd layer to earn all the soul ash from previous floors, I took it one step at a time. The first layer of each floor was a faceroll. A few close calls but that was due to negligence. The second layers were almost unfairly hard compared to the prior, and where I didn't need to buy a single item from the vendor for my first runs, I bought them clean out for layer 2. There was no way I could win if I didn't, especially with the anima powers I had. I only ever completed all 3 layers of the first floor, and the only reason I was able to do so was because of Vanish. If I didn't have that to reset me, it would've been a quick defeat. I survived with less than 10% of my health and had to utilize potions (including pre-pot), food, flask, trinket buffs, my BFA gem helm and alchemy stone. Hearing most other classes having no trouble with this at all is a bit disheartening, considering my one heal (Crimson Vial) was constantly on its 30sec CD. I know how to play my class, but experiencing this makes me think that I don't. I really hope at some point we get new anima powers or something. Like I said, I really love the concept of Torghast, but making this the primary Soul Ash source when it is nigh impossible to complete solo is not a good thing. And thank god for guildmates offering to help me run it. I haven't taken them up on it yet, but you know it's bad when pugs immediately deny you into the group based on your class. I really hope Blizz fixes this.Editting to say when I completed all these runs, my ilvl was 149**

Okay, kyrian rogue here, cleared all fllors1) i main assa, but rolling to sub made it easier2) this was all pre-nerf, so subject to changeOur worst foes are not the bosses but stacked mobs on platforms - dealing with a pack of 3 60k mobs requires vanishes etc. though if you got them on layer 4/5 with good powers you can try sprinting to the end of the lvl and vanishingThings that basically guaranteed completing the level:-Firebreath potion (+30% dmg) - keep for last boss-Anima power for 1.5 min invulnerability - also kept from 4+ floor-kyrian ability reset when used WITHOUT taking the +3cp on the faction ability+epic ability that finishers count as 20 cpQOL stuff-shadowstep makes next ability deal 400% stacked with finisher damage or next generator after a finisher does extra damage-distract (30 sec aoe nuke YUMMM)- 700 mastery buff from servant- vendetta triggers shadow blades and AR- +hp regen and 15% damage (epic) on the floors with ticking fire dmg- +15% damage for 5% hp per floor (taken on floor 3+)- 3+ stacks on main stat (like 9-12% is a lot)- new powers - bloodgorged leech and elixir of life. a lot of extra damage and a get-out-of-jail card is keen- having 1 point in crimson vial cd allow you to heal quite a lot
My highest single AB so far with Arcane on Twisting corridors is a 29M+ instant kill on the final layer 18 boss.Once you have the right buffs at the start, especially if you get the Cicle of Denathrius in combination with Mad wizard on floor 1,the entire instance is simply one shot per mob, regardless if they are elite or not.
