I still have PTSD from ICC because of my fellow raid members standing in defile.
I'm guessing the world soul is going to " wake up" and save Azeroth or something. What else would our player characters, with nothing particularly that special, do against "unmaking existence." Seems extremely existential and ridiculous, even for us to handle.
You've finally come to the end of my mysterious plan, wherein I reset life and death and reshape all of reality so that I can....attack your planet specifically. Your planet that was probably on its way out anyways since you've left a giant sword in it for 4 years.
Really looking forward to seeing this whole thing in action.
Everyone: "Oh no! He killed Azeroth!"Sylvanas, whistling for the Val'kyr: "I'm on it!"
Bla bla bla unmaking world bla bla, Kil'jaeden N'zoth, Deathwing, Lich King, Achimonde, Argus; so original.Honestly, it's happened enough times allready before that i dont care; and if Sargeras gets involved because of the jailor and his $%^&-tier character it'll ruin the warcraft setting even more than Zovaal allready has with his &*!@ty deus-ex-machina'ing of the fundamental warcraft lore at large; reminder he allready made the existance of the dreadlords, and Ner'zhul and Arthas's deeds shallower.
I could get behind Azeroth waking up just in time to stab the Jailer in the face with that sword.
Because the Old Gods are The First Ones, or they used to be at least. That’s where this is going. Been saying it since end of Legion.
I still dont what the Jailer's ultimate plan is. Or what Sylvanas's plan was."We will undo everything. We will remake reality. Death comes for you all. All will serve death."Does he want to destroy the planet because its full of mortals that have the ability to stop his REAL goal? Is he Frieza? This is all so tiring and stupid. Is he some agent of chaos, man without a plan because that's what makes him scarier than the other bad guys? They all had small time plans. Not Zovaal. His plan is incomprehensible to puny mortal brains. Please end this painful non-story already.
It is implied that we became Mawwalkers because of our connection with Azeroth. I do hope we don't kamehameha another raid boss out of existence . . .I just cannot get excited for a World Revamp with Danuser in charge of the story though:(Imo the more interesting part of the Journal is the implication that we will be fighting Arthas in the Anduin fight. Who else is the Fallen King dominating Anduin and doing Shadowfrost damage? Prepare for AnduinXArthas fanfics (who am I kidding, they are probably already out there).
So that blue and yellow beam behind the Jailer is Azerite? Or similar?
I like this!
We don't have all the details but I'm more confused by people saying we don't know the Jailer (or Sylvanas') plans. The Jailer doesn't like the way the Shadowlands works and fancies himself more worthy to decide how the cosmos should work, so he wants to rebuild reality to what he wants (same as Azshara, really) where "all will serve me". Sylvanas feels the same way as the Jailer about the current system but wanted to stop at breaking it so everyone can make their own choices in life and death, which is why she turned against him when he confirmed her fears that he's only in it for himself. What we don't know is HOW he's going to achieve the goal, but I'm sure we'll find out in 9.2. most likely he wants to use Azeroth's soul to power First One technology to let him rewrite the rules of the cosmos.
