Pretty cool! but no real surprise anymore. They've basically got a mega dungeon blue print now, mythic only, hard modes. Short time later split into two add mythic plus And heroic.
Don't know why, but i always knew this was a 100% take for hard mode...
Will 9.1 ever release this year ?
To be honest the issue is not that the game it's "not like it used to be", it's exactly the opposite, the game is not changing enough. You cannot make a game that's designed to be played for years on end and you literally do the same exact things for 3 expansions in a row. Legion was very good because it brought innovation to the game, before then there were no M+, no World Quest, No way to progress a character outside of raiding. Since then, literally nothing has changed. They tried over and over with islands, warfronts, visions, torghast, but these all turned out to be chores you need to do weekly to get whatever currency they provide. The main issue is that the development team failed and keeps failing every patch to deliver something new and refreshing to the gameplay experience. Nobody wants to push the same dungeons or do the same reskinned world quests for 6+ years in a row. The fact that many people would rather play the 2007 iteration of the game rather than the 2021 is a clear indication of this. They say they are happy that TBC and Classic is a success, but to me it would be no different than Apple being happy if people wanted iphone 3 instead of iphone 12. There is clearly something wrong there. Now we are all waiting for 9.1, which realistically will bring nothing new to the table. New raid, increased item level, a new zone that's 1/3 in size of your average zone, megadungeon that wil give nothing to geared players and be irrelevant till 9.2 (which will release in 2023 at this pace) and that's what took 8+ months of subscription to develop.... Torghast rework is awful and nobody asked for it. Covenant legendaries are bad and are dead content before they even release. The problem is clearly that there is no idea, no direction or vision behind it all, they just keep pushing out the same stuff over and over again.
Uh dude wrath had hard modes? Hard mode is not a new thing. So instead of %^&*!ing about it enjoy the extra content
This great and all, Blizz always does amazing job with megadungeons, but we need this in m+ before 9.2. Sl has lowest amount of dungeons since WoD and if we keep doing these same 8 dungeons in m+ for another 8 months that's gonna suck, especially since new seasonal affix looks worse than prideful
Once this is done there's not going to be any reason to do it again.Another season of the same 8 boring asf played out keys is going to be excruciating.
Megadungeons are not for BiS gear and never was (see Karazhan, Blackrock Depths) and they aren't even as difficult as a +10. I think the reason they are not giving us the option to upgrade its gear is because there is no challenge in doing it until you get all of it's loot and maximize its upgrades with valor.Although I do think they should give us more incentive to run them like they did with essences in Mechagon.
No one cares about this mega anymore. You nerfed the reason to play it blizzard.
