Not all rares are created equal, the most efficient method is to wait for the "rare" rares around the maw that give 80 rep for 300 eye of the jailor. Throw in an elite rare here and there (100 rep for 500 eye of the jailor) and when you hit lvl4.5-5 turn in all your quests. If you just go around killing the "bonus objective" spawns you lose out on half your rep every day because they only give 40 rep for 300 eye of the jailor.
Why do you mention Legion Invasions, it's exactly like the Minor Black Empire Assaults - and even the Legion feature was actually called Legion Assaults - there were Legion Invasions, but that refers to either the pre-patch event, or the ones on Argus, where we go to unknown planets to defend them against the Legion. All of the latter on vastly different schedules than these Hunts.
It literally doesn't matter if people are unlocking those before others. They won't be able to unlock or grind for sockets before the first raid comes out, so it's a 100% moot point. They're doing it for fun and not really progression. The socket will only be a thing for 9.1's new raid, so everyone else has like 4 months to get it.
The desire to min-max this is ridiculous and it's funny that people in here are saying that blizz needs to fix the way the 5/5 system works so that you can more easily min-max an extra day out of your un-needed rep. It's fine! Stop feeling entitled to overly rush - you're in this expansion for 2 years, we're closing out week 2, relax a bit?
I hit Ambivalent on my DK today, I've just been maxing out Eye of the Jailer every morning before work.
The poor design choice in the Maw at not allowing players to phase with each other inside the zone has really been a huge turn off for me.
Ignoring the arguments for/against no mounts, and the Eye of the Jailer debuffs, (both of which I’m okay with), the thing that makes me avoid doing the Maw much are the number of ways (separate from the Eye of the Jailer) one can suddenly, unexpectedly, be killed. I’m talking going from basically full health in a fight to dead in under a second without any discernible indication that such a risk is present (beyond “you’re in the Maw”).My main is fine running around solo in all the other new zones (died a few times, but to over-ambitious pulls—which is reasonable and my fault). But a typical run in the Maw for me usually results in at least one or two surprise one-shots—seemingly out of nowhere. Personally, I don’t find this fun. I have no problem with the game being hard; but, if I wanted this random “hah hah, you die now—poof!”, I’d put on warmode. Before folks chime in with “git gud” and other arrogant noise, this is not normal within WoW. I enchant my gear, eat my food buff, put on a flask and augment rune, use the new sharpening stone, know my rotation (with custom weak auras), deal with debuffs (kyrian + dark iron dwarf)… and I’m extra cautious with my pulls in the Maw. And, yet, this random insta-kill nonsense still hits.If they fixed that one thing, I’d probably be in there almost every day maxing out Eye of the Jailer. As it is, I go in maybe once or twice a week just to get the weeklies done.Torghast is excellent though. <3
Why does wowhead always post things like this way after it is useful if you didn't know about it? Clearly having something that said if you reach ambivalent with ven'ari by this week gives a chance of this quest for the mount. Just like the recent post about sorrowbane being up posted after so many people already did the world quest. It's as if wowhead is 12 hours behind all the players in the comments which is pretty poor.
Well this sucks, was racing to get to rep (got it today) in order to get chance at mount before reset, RIP
I think hes just anoyed probly playing some healer and cant solo the content in an efficient way , i think maw content is far from boring, is more of an emotional rollercoaster, assasins abductors opposite faction, cant mount cant fly , you cant afk for more than 30 sec outside of venaris cave everything slows shields deals massive dmg if you go tunelvision without interupts, and the urge to always go back to places where you know they gonna mess you up but still want that 800 stygia you lost there xDBoring? yeah if you have to wait for groups to form everytime you go there
Seeing people running about freely on their Mawsworn Soulhunter mounts makes me so jealous running about on foot like a fool... :(
