This is a start for pvp gear tuning in pvp. and only 6 weeks before launch.
Wait aren't health pools going to be 30-40k? That's an enormous emblem effect.
I feel like that should be flat 20% Versatility instead. Otherwise this could be way too low.
Based on the wording this is pretty awful. Just do the math. It amps your current vers by 20% so if you had, for example, 50% versa (which you won't) then it would be a 10% throughput increase. If it is a flat 20% increase then its moderately strong, but if you compare it to current PvE trinkets like drest and bike it's still not worth it. Especially when considering you don't get the defensive benefit, which lets not increase the defensive benefit of vers considering how bad it is for PvP.
Seems too low raid trinkets could be better than this bonus.
Why pvp trinkets need to have super boring effects always?
Balancing starts the week mythic and rated pvp opens so 3 weeks after the expansion. We beta test first 3 weeks of the expansion.
You'll have to test it out but I agree with the guy above in the fact that it is worded as --> 20% of your X is added as a bonus to versatility (offensive portion and healing only). Since diminishing returns are definitely into effect as seen a few weeks ago, this could help push you a bit farther on tankier classes/ classes with lots of shields etc. I believe this is on the right track as others have said in the past few posts and it could help give you the extra push without having to sacrifice a lot of your own personal choice on stats.I believe the 20% of X is more fair versus a flat 20% versatility, that's a bit ridiculous as we saw in BFA with corruption based versatility nonsense running around and is why they elected to do it this way as well as scaling reasons down the line. It will get stronger as we get stronger for sure so I wouldn't write this off because it doesn't work the way you want it to.
That is really low value, not the worst idea tho. Also it would be lovely if you include the damage reduction, that's the whole point.
This is weak as hell. Unless it's a flat 20% increase, you're going to continue seeing people using PvE trinkets from raids. If it's making the effect of vers go from 1% damage to 1.2%, someone with 20% vers will now effectively have 24% damage, a whopping 4% increase. I can promise you a full set of PvP gear with PvE trinkets is going to be stronger than a 4% increase you get from using PvP trinkets.
Holy ^&*! that sounds terrible. Mythic raiding will still dumpster every other piece of PvP gear and that's stupid as @#$%.
