Today, we are going to try out the Soulbind from General Draven, Service In Stone
. This is usable in the Venthyr Covenant. The main function of the ability is that when you die, you leave behind a statue that explodes after 3 seconds. This will damage enemies and heal allies for 100% of your max HP.
This effect is nerfed by half in PvP, and the damage is also reduced by armor. So the usual dmg will, even as a tank, reach about 20-25k single target.
However the insane thing with this trait, is that it snapshots your HP the moment it procs, so if you are able to die with a lot of on use CDs active (which Protection Warriors have) the damage will be a lot stronger, easily able to one shot most other roles.
I would assume this works best to one shot people on the following classes:
Protection Warriors, Vengeance DH, Blood DK, Guardian Druid. Prot Paladin don't have enough HP increases, unsure about Brewmasters.
We are combining the usual class CDs with effects such as Emblem PvP trinket (Sinful Gladiator's Emblem
), aswell as the heirloom that gives you 10% max hp (Defending Champion
It is also important to stack versatility, since it increases the damage (the pvp set bonus didn't appear to have any effect, atleast not when you do an aerial bomb)
We want a reliable way to make this proc, without having to get focused in PvP. Thats the reason we are going to use a campfire pet (such as Lil'ragnaros or Pierre), aswell as Pinchwhistle "Nitro Fuel"
. This is a beverage that makes you take massive DMG every second when you drink it near a campfire. About 8% of your HP.
This allows you to pop CDs when you are low hp, then drink the fuel afterwards and have an explosion about 6 seconds later. Makes for a perfect ambush in the air, or if you wanna run at someone and CC them.
The statue will always spawn on the ground, so you will be unable to slay enemies in the air!
This will work in Arena, but you need to have the enemy target you. Thankfully prot warriors have no issues dying through our HP increases since we take 66% more dmg in PvP compared to PvE. You might wanna sit to allow the enemy free crits on you!
