Considering the massive split these systems have caused in the community, atleast looking at the surface discussions, I have a set of elevator-pitch suggestions that will make life easier for the min-maxer, the RPG person and Blizzard. How about.. I dunno. Make all covenants abilities the same but with different effects and colours? Immediately "What is the best covenant?" problem for those who want to ultimately push max preformance is halfway solved. Covenant Class abilities can be reworked into spec/class talents instead. The -Heavy- RPG choice comes with which covenant's aesthetics and story progression, tied with important Warcraft lore-characters in Shadowlands you relate to the most. Everyone can be a happy camper.Soulbinds? Do we really need soulbinds? Really really? People still have a sour tounge after Azerite-gear and Corruption from BfA. Optimizing stats for that extra inch of capability allready comes from enchants and gems, there is no need to convolute the system further. Less workload for Blizzard to numbercrunch and balance-patch with. If Soulbinds -have- to stay in the game for whatever reason, just make them collectable in a page and swappable in rested zones. If we can make base-game work for the lot of people, then Shadowlands will be the comeback from BfA wonkyness, nobody feels hampered, people can do what they want but still feel they gained value from what they want to get out of the game.I dunno, is there any other way this can be done? Because let's be honest, with hands on our hearts: When it comes to "Hmm, how will I endgame?", most people will go to their prefered content creator that does said endgame content, look at their guides and playstyles, and try that out. A portion of the community will just google Icy-veins guides, the numbercrunchers will sim the numbers done with different builds against target dummies and in dungeons/raids/whatever regardless of what will be the game design decision. Competetive raiders/M+ pushers/PvPers will have their own group with set class-builds that people within said group have to follow regardless anyway.Im happy with the way Torghast looks like, and professions feel useful again properly to me after basicly not bothering with them.Just my 2 cents.
Unpopular opinion:Blizzard at this point will try to focus a bit more on the lower end of players, RPers, casuals etc, since they are the ones that are paying REAL money for Tokens/Mounts/Pets etc.I get it that the game gets all the publicity from higher end, World First, M+, but I guarantee you none of them pay a single Euro/Dollar etc, with all the boosting communities they have behind. They want to boost the RP, offer more choices (even if min/maxxers are already figuring the optimal one) just to keep the casual playerbase happy, and lets the grinding community (any type from M+ to gold making) figure out what they should do and adapt. Thats why they deflated the economy so badly in BFA for example, affecting severely the casual player, but min/maxers didn't bat an eye.A casual player doesn't adapt, he simply plays a different game.My 50 copper :p
Here's a suggestion that some would be happy with based on some forums.Let people have access to covenants like talents since they only care about maximizing their dps, but make people who stay in the same covenant for a year maybe receive a special reward, like mount, class ability animation colour changes, titles etc, and those rewards cannot be earned by anyone who has activated the "covenants=talents" option, in other words if they choose DPS over rewards, that is their choice, but they will never get the rewards on their entire account.
First of all,i'm happy that they gave up the idea of the destructible conduits, and about the covenants, don't care about the skills,i'll choose the one i like more based on ambience and story.
make conduit NOT destroyed.dont let them be changed in m+add a resepec cost like for azerite, which reset DAILYgg u fking fixed :)))
This will be my last post regarding this issue; I think I've conveyed all my concerns and points, and I feel there will be no further constructive discussion:
