My most epic loot drop has to be the Earthshaker from Magmadar in Molten Core. I had the most fun using it with the old Reckoning Bomb in PvP back in the day. It's sad that there are no fun weapons like it anymore.
My most epic loot? I'll tell you. It was when I got my full merc glads set on my 39 twink rogue. Yeah, you may be saying, "Hey davo, why get a merc glads set? you can't even use it nab." And my response to you sirs would be, well i'm that damn good. I can get a merc glads set without being 70, and you can't. So hah. /facepalm
So after starting WoW and reaching the feat of Level 40, I went into Uldaman for a pug run. While losing rolls back to back, something dropped which made my heart skip a beat, as it was the first epic item I seen drop. It was Staff of Jordan . As a noob who joined after the South Park episode, I was quite confused what purple quality was, though 3 party members stabbed the need button already, even though they weren't back line classes, I was inclined to hit need as well. I won the roll with a high 90's, and was promptly removed from the party by the leader. Being a rogue, I hearthed and sold the said Staff of Jordan for many of gold. From there, I went to buy me the Gut Ripper .That was epic loot on an epic day. Plus I recall being the highlight of the night on trade chat. Ninja? Heh.
My guild finally got to BT after months of training on lower raids. It was pretty cruise control through most of the dungeon. I was the Fury Warrior in the second group, which was DPS. I had some decent arena gear, but I was hoping to get some good stuff from BT. We had some trouble at the Illidari Council, almost wiped, but a good friend of mine, who was a Survival spec Hunter in the third group, managed to Feign Death and use jumper cables on the healers. He managed to save the raid, but was shortly after killed by Darkshadow. I avenged his death with an axe to Darkshadow's back, and we cleared the encounter. However I didnt get too much good loot from BT so far. Some decent epic plate, but otherwise a bit dissapointing. Oh well, I thought, maybe Illidan will have something for me. We got to Illidan, and had a good long fight with him. We almost wiped, there was one healer left alive at the end of the fourth phase, and we breathed sighs of relief when he rezzed us and Maiev joined the fight. After the epic finale, and the satisfaction of downing Malfurion's brother, we cheered and congradulated each other. But then it was time for the good part, hot, sexy loot. We opened him up, and lo and behold, I stared wide eyed with excitement at a Warglaive of Azzinoth. However, a true, tearjerking tragedy happened that could make even the most hardcore WoW junkies cry. Before I could mouse over the Need button, I was disconnected from the server.I stared at the login screen, mouth agape, hardly believing what had happened. The profanity that spewed from my mouth would've been enough to make a British SAS officer blush. That night I dreamed of William Shatner in epic Shaman gear taunting me. /cryHowever, the most epic loot I did actually receive was probably the Westfall Chicken from the CLUCK! quest. That made my day
My most epic loot drop would have to be my new colossal skull-clad cleaver. I was rly greedy and only whispered groups that had no one that could possibly use a 2h. I ran heroic Halls of Lightning every day but it never seemed to drop. I gave up on the instance and got a crafted 2h mace and didn't run that instance for 2days, however, i still wasn't satisfied i NEEDED that axe. Finally, guildies ask for a 5th (dps spot) in their fight against Loken. I was very busy leveling my useless fishing skill but i found the time to offer some help. Healer ate the lightning nova but on second attempt it was an easy kill. Sure enough axe dropped! I don't beleive in karma but God doesn't like greedy ppl, and he sure rewards you for being kind/helpful :P
the leaf from major domo's chest.
its been fun owning all the 25 mans from tbc. of course the loot is blah now but hey
As a Resto Shammy the biggest jump in healing I got was when Gavel of Naaru Blessings finally droped for me,,, was SO happy.
