I can never forget the day i got Deadman's Hand (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34227) while running my Mage to-be-twink... That was really epic, totally unexpected and god, that's some ring for sure, specially for a frost mage twink
I was quite pleased when I won a pair of Nightslayer Boots in Molten Core, and then immediately depressed when they were mislooted to the wrong rogue. After a week of battling GMs, my guild leader was finally able to get my boots back.It was pretty EPIC when they were returned to me.

My most epic drop was the first time my raid ever killed Ragnaros in legacy WoW. I didn't get anything, but the effort involved in the creation of my raid team and how far we had gotten was enough to truly reward us.We started as a PuG during patch 1.3 on an RP server-- 40 people, nobody who knew eachother, all raiding down to Lucifronn and wiping, coming back the next day and killing him. We then put together our group under the thumb of a stupid hunter who admittedly started the raid so he could get epics, and when he didn't, he quit and we had to pick up the reigns ourselves, clearing all the way to Golemagg in two weeks of raiding, putting together a whole community of raiders, starting a new website and a DKP system. It took us another month, at least, to kill Majordomo Executus, and another six, maybe seven weeks to finally kill Ragnaros. The reward was immense and the sense of satisfaction was intoxicating; knowing that we, together, in a pick-up-group of unguilded but likeminded individuals, were competing with the top guilds on the server was unreal. Watching Ragnaros' hammer flip through the air after countless attempts was one of my favorite moments in WoW, and the reason I love PvE raiding even to this day.
One of my most epic drops would have to be baron rivendares mount or the nexus key. Cant event count how many times i ran scholo for that mount.
My most epic loot was when I got the Flaming Piccolo on my new death knight.
When Kings Defender dropped for me in kharazan I was soooooooooo happy :D
I'd have to say getting my Arcanite Ripper from the Kara boss during the Scourge event; nothin' like randomly deciding to get all of Ironforge's attention. :P
I farmed and farmed to get enough money to get my epic flyer on my first 70. When I finally finished it, I was talked into switching servers. Oh the grief.
My most epic loot drop was the first time that my guild had ever killed Nefarian from BWL. We almost wiped at 1% and on my rogue ended up evasion tanking him the last 1%. We felt so thrilled and lucky to have killed him. The drops were T2 rogue and warrior, and Staff of the Shadow Flame. Well as we were looting the tier items as they would be the easiest to award, we had Nef's head and the staff ninjaed from us. As we felt we were a pretty close knit guild and didn't need to have it on master looter, that taught us our lesson but atleast I got the T2 rogue chest.
