Less than a week after the azure whelpling was released, I wanted went to farm one for a friend of mine. I got it on the 11th kill - I believe the first one on the entire server. I got a lot of decent offers for it, but like I said, it was intended to be a gift. Unfortunately, that friend was on a long trip and was out of town for like 3 weeks, so by the time he got back and I gave it to him, he wasn't the first to have one out. He liked it though!A close second is farming for an emerald whelpling for another friend's birthday. Took me 1129 kills of dreaming whelps and something like 1100 adolescent whelp kills for it to drop. It was worth it! Met a lot of awesome people (alliance and horde) farmers on the way.
Not an epic loot, but epic none the less, i got all flight paths at lvl 28, including all flight paths in outland (excpt aldor), died about 1,000 times (more or less) but now can fly anywhere, here i come northrend lol.
the most epic loot i ever got would have to be my T6 Gloves of Azgalor, cause right after that we went into Black Temple and i got Mantle of Darkness in the same night.-Saruto
Getting the staff in MC at 59 would have to be my most epic loot ever. It was awesome.
I think that my most epic loot drop would have to be when I was running SSC with my guild as a druid tank.As a druid tank gear is ALREADY hard enough to get, but on this particular run I was with 2 druid tanks. *sigh* We were generally knew to the instance and both me and the other tank were T4/T5 geared, but NEEDED Wildfury Greatstaff. I was currently equipped with a pretty decent staff, Greatstaff of the Leviathan, but it just didn't cut it for tanking T5 instances. We ended up getting about 15 pulls or so through the instance and it finally dropped! I was so excited, but then I remembered that I had to roll against the other tank. I was freaking out, to say the least, lol. I rolled. It seemed like forever till he finally needed. I had rolled an 89, and had to hope to God that by some miracle he didn't roll higher. He ended up rolling an EIGHTY FIVE, so close, but no cigars :D. I had won my dream staff! It was probably one of my best raids experiences.
Finishing my Nemesis set in vanilla WoW. Wore most of the set to 70, still have it all in the bank.
The mallet of the Tides. I started in greens and went into BT purples. Yet this mace was my most memorable item. Ever since I dinged level 70 and went prot I knew I wanted that mace. I waited five very long months to see that puppy drop...hoarding DKP and offering deals to the other tanks and finally that day came. However there was one other tank in the guild that wanted it and could beat me for it. I then began to spam /beg and spam him with whispers begging for it like no other. I then opened my backpack to see if there was anything I could offer him and then i saw in the bottom right corner 4600g which I had been saving for my epic mount (which is hard to do as a tank). I then followed by saying "4600g right now...It's all I have and I really want this mace." he replied "IDK I know you want it...we all know you want it lol" I said " fine. 4600g and ill strip in front of you every raid for the rest of your life" then the sweetest four letters possible popped up in nice (pink/puprle?) letters "done" I then gave ever last gold piece I had and stripped in front of him except for the mace and typed /dance. That was my most epic loot piece.5 weeks later...we have disenchanted it twice. But it was definately worth it.
When Baron mount dropped, first time I was there pre TBC. I had no idea how epic it was until my friends told me xD
Most epic loot drop?Probably Piccolo of the Flaming Fire back when I was helping someone through Strat. It is great to see people shuffle back and forth trying to prevent their characters from breaking out into dance at the mailbox in IF.
My most epic loot ever must be Baron Rivendares Mount. Not only is it very cool and special, but it took some work.. I tried and tried and tried and tried and tried and tried and finally I got it! Yeah, count the "tried" :P
Not epic technically, but the Soulfrost enchant off of Illhoof was my most memorable drop anyhow :-)
