Second day, second most epic loot... The Unstoppable Force. Days of grinding away in Alterac Valley against same-server horde and over 24 hour battles. I went from a green ~48dps "of the Gorilla" weapon to this. It was amazing.
Most epic drop?Deathcharger, plain and simple. It was right after they lowered the drop rate too, and people were whispering me "LOL Welfare Deathcharger" and I would whisper back "LOL MY Deathcharger".I could care less what the drop rate is. It's something I had wanted since I started playing the game. The only thing that even comes close to that would be the White Hawkstrider that I nabbed up my very first H MgT run. Now if only the other Kael will be so nice :P
my most epic loot was getting the orb of deception back pre bc. i was lvling in silithus trying to get my last few lvls till end game at 60 and it droped. i was shocked. it was very random and unexpected so it was even more awesome. it hasnt left my bags since. ive never banked it or anything. im an undead so it turns me into a night elf. so its pretty cool. still use it to this day.
My most epic loot would have to be the main-hand Warglaive of Azzinoth. I didn't win it, but a friend of mine in my guild did, so it was epic just the same.
Totem of Life! the only item in the game (ok, I dont know for sure about Lich King yet) that shortens the CD on a shaman's reincarnate. Why is it epic?I found this by accident on the armory, looking for totems. Looked it up further and found that it drops from Isalien - whom I had never heard of, even though she appears in a dungeon I have run multiple times. Closer research taught me that Isalien is a special-summon boss from the Dungeon Set 1 to 2 upgrade chain (long out of vogue, since I joined the game at the release of BC) I determined to get it and, at L70, set out to solo the entire quest chain. It took two to make the 45-minute Baron run - and, of course, it takes three to open the hatchery door, so I recruited my husband and best friend for those two. I did not, of course, draw Isalien as one of my dungeon quests - but after compelting quest 28 of 29 in the chain I was given the brazier to summon her myself. Straight to Dire Maul I went - and finally, after over a month of effort, met Isalien and claimed my totem. For those of you who, like me, joined the game after BC, those 29 quests are no small chain. For example, "bring your dungeon set 1 head and chest" (each less than a 10% drop off a previously endgame bosses - in that example, Drakkisath in UBRS and Darkmaster Gandling in Scholo) is the last quest in the chain. Just doing the chain at all was epic - doing it with the minimum amount of help, all fo ra totem that does something nothing else in the game will do - epic loot, epic adventure. Guild leader stopping everything to finish a quest chain that 'just isnt done any more' is still an epic tale, too. :)
Definately the T2 druid helm. Was my first onyxia raid ever, and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Finally downed her, and it dropped :) I was so excited to walk around in my moose antlers, I took a ridiculous numbers of screen shots, and still have it in my bank for old times sake.
The first time I ever went to Grull's Lair i won the T4 Shaman shoulders off Grull. Truely the most epic drop for me ever.
