Another epic drop that will always be a fond memory is the time 40 guildies got together and downed the Horde city bosses, earning the Black War Bear. Fun times all around! Okay, so it's not really a drop, but we did drop bosses and get loot, that counts right? ;)

Way back int he day was going for the Tier 2 helm drop off of onyxia. Had run it 22 times at level 60 with no luck. So i gave up, and moved into the outlands. As Burning Crusade came live we all hit level 70. I still wanted that helm, and finally persuaded my guildies to run onny again. We went back to down and hit onny 4 man style, and sure enough there is my Nemesis helm. It only took 23 runs and a couple month break, but i finally got my well deserved helm. Felt awsome. I still put it on with my level 80 gear.:)
I think we can all agree that the best, most irreplaceable gear in the game is Twill. It turns heads and is revered by all, and 'twas truly epic when I got my last piece, Twill Boots (prying them from the smoldering corpse didn't detract from it at all).
Ashkandi on my Paladin pre-BC.It was a Tele-PuG run and the sword finally dropped. The rest of the raid egged me on to take it even though there were warriors in the group. This was back when warriors were tanks, not DPS, and paladins were healers, also not DPS. I still have the sword and my T2.
That would have to be the Runeblade of Baron Rivendare, back on my guild's very first 15 man strat run. We were blown away since it was our very first time running when it was still hard back in the day :P
I guess the most epic drop would have to be the lepplates of wrath for my orc warrior back in the day.We had killed C'thun and where slowly progressing in the old Naxx and still farmed BWL and MC.Now the thing you should know is we had a core of 6 warriors and no more, it was a steady 6 so no swapping in or out, however we had abysmal luck with warrior drops. We had gotten our main tanks the 3 wrath legplates in about 3 months of farming ragnaros however after that it started to look more and more like he was never going to drop them again.Meanwhile farming BWL had gotten me all the other pieces of the wrath set leaving me still without the legplatesAfter about 3 to 5 months since the last legplates dropped raggie finaly saw fit to drop them again, and I won them to complete my set!I may have busted some eardrums over vent when they dropped :)
Aegwynn Server. I was one of the first few warriors to hit 60 back before the expansions, and my guild was the first to start running Molten Core.I had been running around with this piece of crap: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=16039 since 53, and after we got the server first on Garr, he dropped this beauty for me: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=18822.It was my first raid epic weapon in WoW, server first OEB, and a server first kill for my guild. Good times.
My most epic drop was my Tier 3 Frostfire Shoulderpads (mage Tier 3)I had been running 40 man (level 60 Naxx) for several months, as a level 70, and been running with a pug group, for the purpose of getting old Tier 3 pieces. Originally, I ran the instance run to get a shoulder enchant for my twink, and, after getting it, decided to run for the sake of earning some nice money on the side (When an item dropped, it went up for bid. The winner payed the raid leader the winning amount , and then received the item through master loot. At the end, the raid leader divided up all the money amongst those who had not spent money on an item ).So, I ran for money. Several runs after I first started going, about mid-summer of 08, I gained two Tier 3 pieces with a random roll (gloves and bracers). And then ended up buying two more pieces for 50g ea (the minimum bid). I figured "why stop there", and ended up getting six pieces all together, all for less than 500g.We'd all heard that Naxxramas was getting moved to Northrend in patch 3.0, so our runs were suddenly very limited, there were only about 10 runs left. The very next run I got the Tier 3 pants for 700g, and all that was left was my shoulders and the ring. I really, really wanted the shoulders, but they hadn't dropped yet.About this time, a lot of competition began to show up for the shoulders, a lot of wealthy players who still needed their last or 2nd to last pieces. One of them, a mage, was rumored to have 20,000 gold at his disposal, and he was still in need of the shoulders. I was a little worried, as I only had a few thousand of my own money, maybe two thousand. The run before the last, the ring dropped, but I did not bid on it, still gunning for the shoulders dropping, but, alas, they did not.On the very last Saturday before patch 3.0, we started our last run of 40 man naxx ever. It went well, with some nice drops coming out left and right, even some I had not seen yet. We came to Patchwerk and Grobbulus, the two bosses that dropped the shoulder tokens.Patchwerk died first, and he dropped the rogue/warrior shoulders. That meant there was only one last chance left for the Tier 3 cloth shoulders.I had 3.5k of my own money saved up, and a friend in the raid was going to loan me 3k if they dropped. We fought Grobbulus, and almost wiped, but we killed him....Alas, he dropped the shoulders! Instantly, I bid 1000g, and the other mage put up 1025g. The price kept climbing, at first slowly, but then it went faster, soon going up in 100s. As we neared 6k, another mage whispered me and said I had up to 2k from him, and he cheered me on, telling me to go for it.6.5k...7k...7.5k...And, as the challenger put up 8k, I put up 8.1k, knowing that 8.5k was my limit...And...through some miracle...He said "I give...Take them...They are not worth that much. Take em..."For a few brief moments, I knew what it felt like to be God. I also earned myself a 4.5k debt, but...It was so worth it.In the end, I only ended up getting 8 of the 9 tier 3 pieces of the Frostfire Regalia. I never did get the ring, but I was very happy with all that I did get, in the course of a few runs.It was, indeed, my most EPIC drop ever.http://www.wowhead.com/?itemset=526#screenshots (for some screenshots of my mage now; please note I am not the one with Atiesh)

Most epic loot I would have to say is Wall of the Dead from sunken temple. This is during BC and running through on my first character (Druid :D). Wall of the Dead, our group was surprised and it was the first epic I've seen drop. Worried from hearing stories about ninjasl i waited until everyone rolled to make sure no one ninjas. At this point I was thinking "Hmm...I could get 400g, need and hearth". Countdown kept going down but I decided to not grief them and greeded. Won with a 46 roll. Payed for my epic ground mount. Wont ever forget that day. :p
Baby Hippogriff pet. A coworker and I split a box of cards on the TCG's launch day. He came in early, picked out his half of the boosters and left the other half on my desk. Nothing amazing in the packs he drew, but I got the antlered toucan ;)
