I'd have to say my most epic drop was today in 10 man Naxx. My group was clearing through Naxx for our 2nd time so far and after fighting the boss with the living and undead sides, what drops? You guessed it! The Sword of a Thousand Truths, aka Slayer of the Lifeless. Most awesome tank weapon I've ever had!
My most epic drop would have to be my Disgusting Oozling that i got on my level 57 rogue in Eastern Plaguelands. My friend had been farming for one of them for months and never saw one drop ever, and he was getting extremely frustrated. While in EPL on my rogue I accidentally fell into one of the pits just outside of Lights Hope Chapel and accidentally aggro'd a slime down there. For a moment i thought "Just vanish and forget it and finish the quest you are on", but then i decided to just kill it instead. It was the first, and only, slime i've ever killed on that char (that is capable of dropping the oozling anyways) and go figure...the Oozling drops and i wasnt even exactly LOOKING for one.Needless to say my friend was a bit......upset to say the least, but hey at least i gave him a good deal on it ;D
I already posted my most epic drop, but I can find another good one I think...I think when I finally got my Assassination Shoulders count: They took me 37 Runs to get. And this wasn't like, oh look they dropped but I lost the roll. NO! They never dropped even ONCE. When they finally did, I had another rogue with me and I had to buy him off. They cost me 200g, but MAN for Mutilate, they were definitely worth it!
Almost certainly the day I first took my mage to elemental plateau in nagrand, just as I was getting tired and close to giving in, 'Don Santos' Famous Hunting Rifle' dropped!I was in shocked and laughing about it for days.
Well, the only EPIC I've ever had drop so far were the plans for the Oathkeeper's Helm. It would have been awesome if it wasn't two weeks after the WOTLK release when I got it.
I farmed MGT Heroic for months trying to get the Shard of Contempt and the Quickblade of the Prince and never saw them drop once.Dejectedly I decided to forget about them and move on, which I did until I was invited into a pug to help out a mate.By the end of the run I had both of them and a MASSIVE smile on my face.
When I did the quest for my Benediction, such a pain but so memorable.
Most epic ever i would have to say back in the day of the beginning of 40 Man MC on lightnings Blade server i was rolling a paladin in the top guild. We encountered a binding of the wind seeker at this point in time no one knew what it was or anything i used all my dkp at the time to get this item. Sadly i never got to see the other half of the bindings. i still go in there occasionally to see if they will drop.
Way back in the day when I got Destiny. A rogue chose to corpse camp a friend, so I came out to help and return the favor after about an hour of camping him, he spawned agro'd a mob and vanished. Killed the mob and received this as a reward.
