It would be nice if higher renown meant more anima returns. Like an extra 25% for every 10 levels of renown.
I capped out yesterday and have over 100 souls on main and alt so this is a moot point 2 resets will cap renown . An extra 500 combined with WB is 75% of Anima pool weekly ... I have no issues with an extra influx of 500 for 5 mins collecting souls .
This really just shows how little the devs/share holders value our time and money this combined with the most likely many months wait for flying is the reason ill be taking a break from the game...they said we should endure the lack of FP's and flight whistle because "flying will be out really soon" news flash half a %^&*ing year is not soon
The fact that you have to be capped on souls to get the anima from this is &*!@ing stupid!Instead they should just make the daily callings reward some anima and increase rewards from WQ's seeing as they take WAY longer to complete than any WQ from BFA or Legion.Like 8/10 WQ's in SL have several hidden objectives and is just a huge pain in the ass to complete. The $%^&ty rewards vs the amount of time spent makes it not even worth doing.
Funny, I just sent them feedback on this yesterday (like it matters). I've never seen a more upside down feature/currency in the game than anima and its reward system. The transmogs are thousands of anima, to unlock covenant sanctum stuff is tens of thousands, yet we get 35, 70, 105, 140, 250 at a go. I realize we shouldn't be unlocking everything on day one, but I've been playing consistently from the start of SL and have very little to show for it, aside from some covenant gear and a few basic unlocks. The real issue is that the *idea* of needing 15,000 anima to unlock just one layer of a sanctum ability is so astronomical compared to the rate at which anima is gained makes the player feel overwhelmed to the point of quitting - at least that part of the game. That means it's valueless to many, and was a waste of time on the dev's part. I am sure that was not the intent. This is easily solved by giving a slight increase to anima gain across the board. I've had so many friends - basically all except 2 - over the years quit this game because they say Blizz seems to enjoy angering its players. I don't know if that's true, but that's a pretty terrible thing for so many people to say.
Nice! A free 500 anima a week will only take *calculates* 30 weeks to finish the Ember Court!
The world quest ilevel upgrade rewards from Renown should have increased the minimum and maximum anima rewards for world quests and treasures, IMO.That way the start of the expansion would have been identical, but as we progressed in Renown out anima rate would keep up with the increasing costs of using it. It would also have acted as a catch-up for alts, because Renown itself has a catch-up.It's so close to being a well-developed self-pacing system but they refuse to tie the things together.
2000 weekly anima would be more reasonable.
either way souls are going to cap out, because you can only spend them on cov upgrades, and those only use so many.it'd be nice if there were other things to spend them on, rather than just capping out. SELLING THEM FOR ANIMA, perhaps?
This is where Blizzard keeps missing the mark. Grinding for rep.... always been there, ok. Want that legendary.... time locks and more grinding.... ok. BFA and Shadowlands.... grind grind grind for anything. I understand they want players to feel achievement, I've been playing since the Crusdes and they moved away from feeling good about finally getting something to people saying eh whatever. Then Shadowlands makes it worse, everything is behind a grind and the leveling is now nothing. Don't need so many choices of currency for a thousand other things. Leveling shouldn't have been knee capped and if they want to do something special for the altaholics, give them a buff they can use to make leveling quicker, don't rebuild the whole damn system.
The anima drought was supposed to be part of the story, not a game-breaking feature that ruins what could be a fairly nice expansion. 500 a week is not enough.
500 really is nothing but a drop, it should be at least 1k for the absurd amount we need to buy everything.
I haven't been playing as much because of all the time it takes to gather this stuff.
