world of timegated content, shadowland edition
I love this. I intend to play both DK and warrior, and even with taking time off to compensate for that it was quite daunting. This makes it a bit more manageable.

We want people to have fun and enjoy TorghastBy the way we're limiting it.
This is fine, a bit less initial pressure and more time to actually enjoy the new expansion and to plan out legendaries etc.
Good.Players who want to take a breath and enjoy the early game before spending 2 years complaining that "There's nothing to do" once raids are cleared are no longer going to be at a competitive disadvantage because the rushers push one very specific branch of content to it's breaking point and then declare that's the only one that matters.Good choice, Blizz.
Thank god, now I don't need to run 48 floors of Torghast first week on all alts.
They're really doing everything possible to make the WF race go over Christmas.
Torghast is a roguelike......Nevermind
My mood: "WHAT THE HECK?"also my mood: "thank *!@# for not having to grind through 8 layers with leveling gear on week 1"Bigger question is why wait 5 days before launch to announce this?
If they had made it unlimited from the start people would have complained about feeling pressured to do it more than they would like.I know this because I've seen that exact complaint in other comment threads today. Blizz loses no matter what they do.
I mean tbh i wasn't expecting to even get to lvl 60 by the first week because, y'know, other things to do and such but this feels likes an unnecessary change. If players reach level 60 by the first week they should at least have something to do, and sitting around with their thumbs up their you-know-whats feels like a failure to capitalize on player time. Why is Blizzard insistent on time gating every piece of content they release. This is worse than Destiny 2 Time gating, because at least timegating in D2 has a purpose and a logical in-game explanation.
Limiting it similar to all other content only makes sense. Forcing players to rush through 8 layers in the first week if they want to not fall behind on legendary crafting would've been rather punishing. There is still plenty to do in week 1.
Great, less presure on week 1
99% of people complaining about this wouldn't have been able to get past layer 3 on launch anyway, so you're - as usual - complaining for the sake of complaining. If they hadn't staggered the release, you'd whine and cry about how overtuned it is and how you can't complete anything above layer 3 without more gear, etc. This is literally done to save you time, instead of forcing you to clear 54 floors of Torghast per character during the first week, with each layer taking about 30 minutes, so about 4.5 hours of mandatory content for each character you intend to play. There's literally no winning with people whose only goal in life is to complain at every opportunity they get. They offered refunds, if you're so upset, act. No one cares about your constant whining and crying which is facetious and done for attention, nothing else. Take your crocodile tears elsewhere, it's getting old to watch casuals cry at literally everything, no matter what and despite the fact that they have no idea what they are crying about, or what their stance is meant to be.
Why, just why? This is 100% unecessary and only there to slow people down. It doesn't add fun or anything to the game, it just stops you from HAVING fun.
idk I'm kind've mixed. for everyone that doesn't care for alts, this really limits them further on top of all the other stuff. Gonna make it a slow first week over all. As someone that wants to play 3 characters, I'm looking forward to it.
not seening how we can craft a legendary in week 2 when we need 1250 Soul Ash and only get 305 from the first 3 layers, as far as I can see we are not going to be able to make a legendary until week 4.
