Not enough, but a good start
ok
How about those 'two-tailed bulls' we see in Maldraxxus (could even make them another 'mountable form')?
This made me laugh, thank you. But yes that was my exact response xD
I hope these have actual lore quests involved with them, I'm getting worried that all these new animal shapes and forms just being handed to us without coming from a more meaningful, deeper place of lore, will undo the special and important nature and history of our forms. The new travel forms are unfathomably bad in that there is no reason for any of us druids to be able to become random animals. some lore and quests will be needed to explain and allow it.With all the posts demanding more animal forms for druids and shaman, yet non asking for them to come from a place of meaning, and with blizzard handing out things willy nilly, I fear for the health and longevity of the game, especially when older players such as myself who consider wow their home, see it become a frivolous, forgettable party.
There's no culture in these forms. They'd be fine for night fae themselves but not for our living races. One thing I appreciated about druid forms and shaman's totems was the culture and aesthetics they reflected of the race. These forms are upsetting because they signal a new era of meaningless graphics not linked to or inspired by any of our peoples who would naturally become the form with their own traditions, believes, ideals, natures, attunements, inspirations, worships, customs, styles, and so on. each class should have their own version of their art, their own culture's identity reflected in their kit, but only druid forms and shaman totems, out of all the spells and abilities in the game, reflect the people who wield them. Their history and heritage and homelands, ideals, customs, traditions, affinities adeptnesses, etc, show in their form and totem spell and ability visuals, which is something all races and classes should receive. For any spell and ability closely aligned with and nurtured by their own people, such as sunwalkers and seers having sunny themes, nightborne mages having night/ starry themed spells and fancier sword fighting animations, pandaren sorcerers calling could serpent and crackling energies because of their worship and study the teachings of yulon and the celestials and developed their art differently from other mages, high mountain tauren druids using refreshing mountain winds for tranquility and pine tree visuals in their efflorescence, raising magic feather to call a circling eagle, and for shamanism a more voodooy troll kit with frog sounds and trances and and jungle themes while a more ancient, primal orc kit for shamanism, blowing through a horn for some abilities. Pandaren priests should use medicines and traditional ancient healing music, chi-ji feathers and little lanterns, statues and seals, not old god stuff! Night elf tranquility can call the calm of night, the sound of woodland critters chirping and growls of forest fauna heard in the background, or to the dreamy plucks of harp strings, bringing peace to the falling, and placing a little lantern for their effloresce which calls down a moon beam while the sound of soothing wind chime or gently hooting owl who drifts nearby, raising the weak. Until now we could rely on at least druids and shaman having their signature aesthetics, enriching the character, gameplay, lore, etc. With these random graphics, I am disheartened and don't know why our race's take on them isn't more evident, and how it's even possible to simply become an animal that has nothing do to wtih wild gods, loa, drust, and so on. Maybe there's quests but even so, the forms themselves are creatures of the shadowlands. The bat is goofy. There are plenty of better, more realistic bats with snub nose, wide ears, furry heads and tiny feet. These long legs, huge gaping mouths and so on, are more like gargoyles. Sorry but a tauren becoming a bat is weird. I don't have to use it, but it shouldn't be experience to have to decide not to us a bat model, it shouldn't be an option for some races. There are better bat models and inspirations for trolls than these. The bats on azeroth are more vampiric than the ones in revendreth. darkspear trolls need to have al their forms redone, cats and bears and elf and tauren forms don't fit them, they need loa forms such as turtle, tiger, frog, etc. their bat form is the only one that fits. The bird should be for mages. The bird's left talon kinks wildly to the left in the model viewer and in game. If you rotate the model and look at the talon, it's hind leg rig is not attached and so the pixels stretch over it as it jarringly and shifts out of place. It makes the whole claw jets out and it looks painful to look at, as if the bird is injured, PLEASE FIX it! Watch a model of any bird using this rig, they all have their right talon (left if you are looking at it straight on) kink outward with each flap of it's wings, it's so upsetting to see.
A little disappointed, all of those forms are gorgeous but i wished for more of the ground-based ones...
Was wanting a dino form for alliance. I mean with this addition the horde are getting a raven form (was strictly a worgen thing) thankfully I still cherish my arch druid form (lunarwing) and the stag form is cool. Will never use the 2 new flight forms. I'm still waiting for a corrupt druid thematic to be released, maybe a plague form (flight form is a bunch of insects) but that's just a dream that'll never be fulfilled.
What about shaman spirit wolf forms? They said before SL it's hard for them to make other skins for wolf and boom night fae soul shape multiple animals.Another spit in the face for shams.Tyranical behaviour: removing spit emote yet spitting themselves in customers. YAY
shaman travel isn't a form its a trance or communion. and I'm glad it's mostly a wolf because it keeps with the theme and aesthetic that the universe's connection to wolves is why you happen to appears as a wolf, you are accessing a connection that the universe recognizes through a trance, and therefore appear as a ghostly wolf. It's necessary and important to keep meaning and reason in the game and not just you picking and choosing whatever you want just because you see the possibility of other options, such as animals and druids. Warlocks think its ok to suggest taming demons just because hunters tame pets, and now shaman want an abundance of animal forms just because there are druids and animals around. Shame. The other shapes such as raptor make no sense. If you want to access or shapes that the universe recognizes and bestows, I recommend something IN GAME that shaman can go to:a circle of stones, each with a carving or painting of a paw print or animal shape on the rock, that the shaman can touch, and the universe grants (the player chooses) that shape. This circle or stones can be in a special place. A trance, a vision quest, a personal, spiritual experience. This could be explained by the race concentrating and meditating in the center of the circle of stones, awakening something inside them, a link between them and the universe, and becoming part of the elements that make up the universe and therefore see what shape they are most akin with, such as wizards and witches do with patronus. don't just demand things, give reasons for fun and meaningful ways they can be included. I made it a circle of stones for two reasons, one is that they happen to look cool and would be interesting as a dedicated place from ancient, unknowable times, exiting specifically for shaman from all walks of life can trek to, and the other is because though I'd love if the stones were scattered all over the continents, meaningfully, people would rage if they had to try to travel there to get what they want. Put the rpg back into the game, make it a physical place shaman travel to in order to receive the gift/decision. The stones can happen to have race-themed markings, kodo, fox, wolf, tall strider, elk, talbuk, boar, whatever the universe signifies as fast that the shaman can trance and become. This shamanistic retreat and ritual will allow the race themed appearance as well as provide special bond and give the journey and choice meaning to the player and character. Make us earn and choose what we are. I'm tired of getting the automatic, default options that players demand, and would rather the world provide paths for us to choose. Those players who demand what they want with no suggestions or ways to make the options meaningful and engaging, they're ruining the game.
Kodo Kodo KODO KODO! I just want a Wooly Kodo travel form for my Druids! T.T
They could only do that because they wielded Atiesh, not because they were mages.
So i have to play a cat to be a bat? Im in!
Why a raven
