Back in Wrath I was on a raiding team during Naxx and the girlfriend of our Druid Healer could always be heard on vent and she'd stop in to say hi sometimes. Our healer was kind of an ass, but his girl was a sweetheart, eventually she started playing a hunter and we became pretty good friends. Visited them once, and then ended up moving to a place not far from them.Almost 5 years later- I haven't talked to the druid in ages, but my wife and I had dinner with our hunter friend just last night =)
"Great friendship" eh? I met my wife on World of Warcraft. I'd say that's a pretty great friendship. =)
In my guild, the two youngest raiders was the other tank and I. The other guildees were around our age but we still got a lot of baby jokes. We would snapchat each other during the raid, and especially if one of us died, also making sure to send the snapchats to the few others in the raid group
Last April I met the person who is now my best in game friend. He had been offering up a guild to sell, and I had someone looking to buy one. I made an alt and joined up to look at what was available for the price he was selling. Two hours later our convo had finally finished because he had to go raid. He told me that I could find him on his main toon (this being the GM of the largest raiding guild on our server at the time), which completely floored me. I had never spoken to him before this, but had heard rumors about much of a jerk this guy and had avoided him. Come to find out that the rumors were about his co-gm, and not of him. ***facepalm*** Now almost a year later we are practically inseparable. It wouldn't be the same WoW without him anymore :-) Just goes to show you really make those judgements on your own.
I met one of my best friends in game, she was an honorary bridesmaid at my wedding! Certain friends are non-binding to be discarded while leveling up, and others are bind to account to be saved and cherished even if not always in use - if you catch my drift. Friendship knows no bounds.
Back when I took a break from Raiding in Wrath, I met this person who seemed to be a really awesome person, we hit it off nicely. We were the best of friends for years! But then things went super sour between us and that was that, we went our separate ways. However, she did do one last thing during the big blow out, introduced me to someone special. We got along great and it blossomed into an amazing friendship then a fantastic relationship. We recently got married, and had a little WoW themed wedding! If it wasn't for that friend, I wouldn't have met Mr. Perfect!
I have made a handful of friends in World of Warcraft but one friendship that stands out started when I was scouring Trade chat looking for a Blacksmith to make Hard Khorium Battlefists. This guy whispered me with a question or two and then proceeded to check his every alt and bug his guild mates as well as all his friends to see if anyone had the plans. No one did and I never got the item made, even now that I leveled BS myself (don't have time for the grind but the mats are still in my bank), but we still catch up when we see each other online. We might not be BFF FOREVER, but he's a respectful guy I get along with and it makes the game more fun.I also have something to talk to my nephew about ever since I got him into WoW. He made 90 before I did and now runs Heroics every day. I'd say I did a terrible thing but he's also made a TON of friends in the game, including some very good ones, and I'm happy that he's had such a good experience.
I met my husband through WoW. I lived in Cali and he was in Georgia. We were in the same guild and became good friends. We met to see if what we felt was real and it was. That was in 2009. We got married last September. Life is good :)
Some of my best friends started out as random guildies. (Phil, Lauren, and Mona, Iurve you guys! Get rid of those noine cokes!) We just got to talking during and after raids, then we started talking outside the game, then we spun off into our own guild. Recently, I even drove 350 miles to go spend the weekend with them. They didn't even turn out to be a pervert or a Chris Hanson! Another guildie I found out lived 20-30 minutes from me and we met up to eat sushi one time. (Then she moved to Florida, BOO.)

I've met a couple of people since i started playing wow in 2010 meet a lot of people of different country n time but i really happy to knew all people around the world playing especially meet a lot of girl playing wow make me feel ZZZZZZZZZZZ
I meet lots of friends on WOW and i keep contact with all my friends or ex-guildies.
i've never made any good friends in my 6 years of playing wow. i wish i could say i did but it seems like a majority of the wow players are just disgustingly rude people.
The best friendship relation i've made thanks to wow is with many people from a casual guild on my server....I've joined them in Wotlk and didn't know what to expect since I was from romania and they're guild was mostly consisted of people from norway, denmark or countries from that region....I was afraid that of what kind of people they would be...but to my luck it turned out they we're and are great people with the kind of mindset that I have....unfortunately most of them quit during cata and haven't came back....but we still chat over facebook and such...we even have our very own group on fb...The one that helped me connect to the rest of the guild was the guildmaster...he is an awesome m8 both online or offline....everyone in the guild was and is bloody awesome.....raiding with them was fun....our wipes we're because we couldn't stop laughing over things said in chat and such....If it weren't for WoW I wouldn't have met such great persons...P.S. : I would so wish they would all came back to WoW!
I started playing wow in Vanilla. In 2007 when BC dropped, I met a guy ( a pally) we started talking in vent and he got pretty obsessed with me. He stalked me all over azeroth for months. I lied to him about my age, my kids and who knows what else. After some time we started chatting on the phone and finally web cam, at that time I had to admit to my dirty catfish ways. We met in an airport in 2011 for the first time, we still play together almost everyday and are about to try to work things out IRL one more time.I have met several people from wow and never regretted one. Things have changed a lot and the community feeling is a thing of the past. But the good friendships that I formed back then are still around.
