Shade of Aran.Great voice acting, and having a powerful mage boss in Medivh's tower just feels right. Plus it was hilarious when he polymorphed the entire group to drink.

Kil'jaeden. Most important fight to date, in my eyes.
My favorite encounter would have to be Nefarian at level 60. Seeing him soar down onto the balcony in his dragon form gave me goosebumps every time, and the various "class calls" added a fun little mechanic. Druid call, /dance everyone!
I always liked Gurtogg Bloodboil for his ridiculous model. :P
Let's hear it for Bronjahm <Godfather of Souls>! Nothing like trying to be slain by metal guitar and then receiving Papa's New Bag. Yes, it is still equipped. :)
Probably Shade of Aran in Kara... I only started raiding in Kara and this is the one that sticks in my mind. Not too hard, but good mechanics and most of all, fun!
Shade of AranFirst of all, he's the spirit and father of Medivh. So this brings a ton of stories and lore. The fight has a bit of everything, which makes it exciting. And to add a bit of flavor, if someone in the group is carrying Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian, he yells out "Where did you get that? Did HE send you?". Just awesome that Blizzard adds something like that to the game. So small, but has such an impact. All of his other voice acting and sayings just seems to fit perfectly.Just a great encounter.Oh yeah, and don't move during Flame Wreath.
Hodir in Ulduar made me shiver (lol) it was so epic. The mechanics of the fight were just fascinating to work around with the campfires to the god spotlights. Overall a very fun, well designed encounter.
"Frostmourne hungers."Arthas. The Lich King. I know, it's rather mainstream, but it's still *by far* the most epic, challenging, fun and adrenaline inducing encounter I've seen! The way he deals with pathetic Fordring, the thrill of being carried closer and closer to the edge by a Val'kyr, screaming at your guildies on Vent, the really weird mixed feeling of triumph and defeat when he wipes the raid at 10%... It's all so damn goood! He is also a very interesting character (both the Lich King and Arthas), lorewise :)
XT Deconstructor for sure. Was my first and only progression. We were the first guild on my server SWC, to kill XT that night. The fight was hilarious, kept my on my toes, and challenged the whole way through. Showcased blizzards legendary skill for mixing humor and awesome mechanics. Although after that fight, XT was nerfed considerably. Was a small badge of pride to defeat him straight out of the box. :)
I quite like Malygos due to the Nexus Lords and Scions of Eternity on their flying discs and the floor being destroyed after they die. Makes for an interesting fight. Doesn't hurt that the Azure Drake that's dropped is my favourite drake mount.
Favorite encounter is hard to say. ICC is probably my favorite overall. Just the look of the place, the epic scale of the tower is what I like about it so much.
My first raid boss, for sure! Attumen the HuntsmanOr as my guild and I called him; Bob the Huntsman, because we could never remember his name to begin with, so he was just named "Bob" :)Great times...
