The amount of wow doomers I had to point it out to, the dreadlords take the players form in Zereth while questing to sow disorder so it would make sense these are the forms they've taken to do the same in other various groups.
Some people going to be angry that those NPCs were not a dreadlord at all during our battles :)
A lot of people here didn't read any fantasy book to assuming that Shadowlands lore and storytelling + all these "bits" or "Easter eggs" are good or even make sense from a storytelling pov.People are mad, and are right to be, because after invalidating 20 years of lore just to justify the most bland villain ever made they are doubling down with the Nathrezim beging these insane spy / double agents. When we literally have beaten their asses multiple times over multiple expac.Ok the Malganis and his wife disguise as various bosses during the entire game, fine then why? For the Zovaal plan? Ugh.Is just a supposition and they are just disguising now for the first time to showcase their abilities? Fine.If you remove the zooval mediocre plan, the Dreadlords part, works pretty well and is cool if you don't push too much the retcon otherwise there is an insnae diminish return everytime we break their "disguise"Also Mal'ganis disguised as our self in game, for what? Nothing?Imagine if he disguise as our self to kill some important lore character and we get framed or we are accused to be a double agent for the jailer or whatever, with the proper storytelling it could be interesting?Naa
I thought it was an "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" type showing off of transformation skill when we got to the boss, not them showing us they were these characters all along.Oh, and a small transmog tip for warlocks: Malefic Raiment mog is cool, just not when your friends mistake you for the infiltrator and dispose of you ;)
Dreadlords will keep on dreadlording again and again.
