"...we think we can do more to make the experience of running dungeons and raids feel more satisfying when you don't get a specific item you were hoping for."But they're not going to do anything about that anytime soon, even though adjusting the currency received would be an easy change to make right now. I think they have themselves convinced that if they do nothing players will get used to it and start to feel that this is rewarding.
Just remove arena from the game. It's clear they don't care about PvP balance enough to adjust EXPANSION FEATURES like covenant powers, azerite, etc until the very end of the expansion when everyone has already quit. Forcing PvE players to go into arena because gear has been made almost impossible to get through raids. PvP players don't want someone with 220 ilvl stomping the 1400-1800 bracket and PvE players don't want to be forced to do content they really despise. Removed
Just go back to Ghostcrawler's design, he'll always be the better designer than you Ion.
This is literally my biggest issue with Shadowlands honestly. I can never “be my best” because I don’t so ranked PVP. In BFA you could get a full set of Haste/Vers gear from dungeons and raid. In SLs, there’s like 5 PVE haste/Vers pieces total.
No covenant balancing until next patch, rip
YES. Increase the amount of Anima that you get from raiding, hell even have it scale in M+... I got sweet FA from our clear so far this week except 35 Anima off bosses. Great, awesome, except for the fact that I need 10k + Anima to progress parts of my sanctum...? More Anima per boss would be nice. Also better chances at gear would be great. We had a Sludgefist kill where no actual loot dropped except legendary powers (which none of us needed/wanted) -and- conduits. We were VERY disappointed that night.
Having a currency feels better than getting nothing. I can live with some "badges, echoes, etc" if we can then get something we actually want. I should be able to run the content I enjoy and actually get upgrades outside of the weekly box when I'm still under heroic raid ilv overall because I just don't like pvp'ing. Anima from M+ should scale like Echoes did, but be much more plentiful in general since we need it for literally every system in the game AND cosmetics currently.
pvp is out performing pve in the gear department, just increase the drop rate that let people who enjoy keys feel rewarded. or make a system for pve like valor points to pick what you want.
Nope, loot is fine right now. It actually feels good when you get an upgrade. I'm 217 ilvl and haven't been this satisfied with gearing in a long time. Let's not just funnel loot to everybody who hits 60. If you don't like the long grind of getting gear, then maybe you shouldn't be playing an MMO
Jesus, the solution to make M+ much better in terms of loot is so freeking easy. CURRENCY! Like there was a vendor with Azerite and now there is PvP vendor, there could be vendor with all of those items from M+, or few of those vendors with each selling certain range of ilvl M+ items. The princip is simple, you run the dungeon, let's say +14. You make it in time. You get 300 M+ currency for vendor who sells M+ end of dungeon items for +14 (which is 207 I guess). If you don't make it in time, you would get let's say 200 M+ currency. If you make it on +2, you get 400 M+ currency. And M+ item would cost like 900 M+ currency. So if you time +14 three times in any dungeon combination, you would be able to buy your desired item with ilvl of end of the dungeon for +14. It's the same as PVP vendors work and M+ would be on absolutly new level. You would still have the same chance of looting an item at the end of the dungeon as you have now, but you would also be rewarded for the run in long term. And the long term reward is even better as you are in charge of which item you pick from the vendor. I'm still amazed that Blizzard haven't done this while working on PVP vendors.
This post was from a user who has deleted their account.
Pvp is more powerful for loot than any other expansion, meanwhile pve got nerfed to trash. They either need to go back to pve being a loot shower (or have equivalent vendors to pvp)or nerf pvp loot.
How about you just bring back old loot amounts? 3 Items in m+, 5 items from 20 man raid. That will fix most of issues. We don't need titanforge/warforge or anything like that, just more items dropping.
Valor points, a vendor and we're good. Plus changing mail secodnary stats (why the hell is there so many items with versatility). Class changes should be on a weekly basis, but it would meant work and yeah...they don't have time to do it.
I feel like I just got 35 Anima from reading Ion’s replies...
