Looks closer to a shadowflame appearance though, since ice and cold stuff has always been light blue, not deep and dark blue, but I'll gladly take it.

So does this mean we can expect 10.2 after the anniversary event? That seems pretty far away if that's the case. I expected 10.2 in October. They could just be adding this in early and I hope that's what they are doing here.
Have had the Deathwing Pet since Cata came out. Don't mind this at all.
Have the OG pet. It's a recolour. This is precisely how they should reintroduce these things. Very happy, It's cute af.
i can't wait to hear all the people who complained we didn't get a pet last year complaining that this isn't the pet they wanted this year.
Hmm. While in the past we've hardly been guaranteed new content/pets every anniversary it is interesting that they're giving us a recolor instead of a newly designed model. Guess those have to be saved for the cash shop. Still props to the devs for doing what they can under the situation I suppose. I just hope corporate makes sure they have the resources and mandate for the 20th anniversary (something far more special and even rare in this space) to be more special than the 15th with more events (I'm thinking 3 months of Korrack's Revenge and the event overall running that just like with the 15th, November - January, plus mount, plus pet, plus toys, title, community events that bring people together, etc), rewards that aren't just reskins, and just in general giving back to the playerbase for helping keep WoW running to actually reach 20 years (something I can guarantee almost none of the original devs would have thought the game would have done when they opened up or probably even as of BC).
So we went from the moon-touched netherwhelp to a reskin of Lil Deathwing with a frost theme, my hopes for owning or having a reskin of Lil Frosty grow ever smaller

I've had the Cata collector's edition & Lil' Deathwing since Cata and I'm SUPER exited for this recolor! 💙 Don't know why people assume that everyone is going to be a negative nancy... Seems rather negative to make that assumption in the first place. 🙄
