Legendary Tokens in Patch 7.3.2 - Earn When You Have All Class Legendaries

Patch 7.3.2 dataminingscrapped legendary catch-up itemsIon has clarified in the Legion QA that you will get these to drop if you have all legendaries for your classPlayers may have noticed that there are legendary tokens available, that seemingly create a legendary for a specific class. Those have been datamined on PTR.

Just to clarify how those are going to be used: those are actually--and this may come as a disappointment to some--those are actually what you will earn if you literally have all legendary for your class. Initially, we made it that if you have all legendaries for your spec, you get them for other specs. If you have them for your entire class, then you get tokens to help on alts and get them up to speed a bit faster. It's a little bit of catchup but also makes it feel constructive to keep earning rewards as you play on your main, if you want to do that.

That said, these tokens definitely are something that could see a different purpose further down the line in the expansion. We know there's desire to have a bit more control over legendary acquisition, and the fact they exist gives us a vehicle to do so.

We're not adding lots of legendaries to the drop tables, in fact we're not adding any new legendaries to the drop tables, we're still seeing players on average having a reasonable number, and we've done a lot to balance and shrink power discrepancies between the legendaries out there.Legion Q&A RecapItems

If you're looking for a specific item, the impact of randomness is reduced but they also want something to strive for. We would need 48 Legos for our four spec on druids, compare to a DH who only needs 24 and the rest of the classes that only need 36.

Not only are you saying we are being forced to focus other specs for our class that we may not like(and don't want to play CAUSE we don't like them), but you are also saying that the added RNG(which could actually be nice for some people with multiple alts) for legendries have two negatives. One being we have to have ALL legendries for ALL specs before we can get the token for another class, which by the way is also complete RNG and from what it sounds like, we can get a token for a class that we may not have. My question to developers is, "Do you even play bruh". This won't help us. Some classes already have to hinge on "leggos" just to pull the numbers they need to for raiding content. Its like giving us a hug then punching us in the nose right after. "Here is some amazing RNG that can be helpful*insert Billy Mays voice here*"BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!"*..."you also have to have all the leggos for the specs you don't play just to have a chance... oh, and the token can come up for a class you don't have one of, so its basically useless!". Not to mention druids get super screwed in this deal, the class that has FOUR specializations. Wow so Druid's as usual get shafted because they have 4 specs. And I am not one to play all my specs of my class because they are boring. Well then you're doing it wrong. I am not playing that much anyway (as some suggested he knows someone with all and he is "a nolifer") and still managed to get one per week on average. In fact at start I was one of the last in my guild to get it and it was an utter crappy one for me. As the game progressed I figured out that doing absolutely every content that has the chance of dropping it will literally guarantee one per reset. So I would do EN and NH from lfr to hc and ofc doing mythic NH/ToS whichever was my guild progressing/clearing at the time but lfr-hc spread is more than enough. I would also do at least 2 Legionfall chests per day or at least try to. And ofc daily emissary chest and some m+ now and then, at least one or two per week ofc for the weekly chest. With Argus zones and ToS it is now even easier as literally every rare/chest/invasion you do has a chance to drop one and increases your chances and ofc you have one more raid to clear on lfr/nm/hc...Comment by terykatsWell then you're doing it wrong.
