Maybe it's just me but this feels a little TOO alien. Don't get me wrong, this artwork is amazing and Zereth Mortis looks incredible, but this doesn't feel like Warcraft anymore. Shadow lands for me has gotten just farther and farther away from anything I recognize. I get that's the point but still. We NEED to go back to Azeroth asap. And our characters deserved to be recognized and thanked in game by the denizens of Azeroth for all we've done across the universe.
Ohhhh nooo ohHHH NO OH NO! Zovaal has the Heart of Azeroth DBZ laser behind him that we used on N'Zoth! He's stolen our technology!
This zone is outside of shadowlands, and yet reuses a lot of the same art in different ways...
wth that Devourer is just a blue version of a Graboid lol
That's because this is where the shadowlands and the afterlives came into creation, right here from these progenitors that are running the show while the first ones are doing their thing.
This... this looks insanely rushed. Don't get me wrong the concept art is gorgeous but you can actually see where they copy/pasted concepts from korthia straight into this patch and just loosely drew over them. I have a really, really bad suspicion that this is just a push to bump subs and just trash this expansion and move on as fast as possible to the next one, which also leaves less dev time for that one, turning this into a really bad downward spiral.I hope I'm wrong, I really doBut this is happening too fast. Everything reads as 'we have a concept of what we want but no clear idea how to really put it into practice in a way that is enjoyable but look at this shiny stuff!'. Honestly that has been most of the expansion beyond the initial story quests so... i am going to temper my expectations.
OMG why are the wallpapers so low resolution? 1600x900 in 2021?
so the progenitor realm is just oribos architecture in kyrian landscape? very disappointing, honestlyart team letting us down for once
Looking forward to exploring this zone at least. I really like the colors and concept art.
No hate intended but it's gonna be weird to fight Zovaal and his agents in such a colorful place, no Lich King resemblance at all.
Conceptually it looks like they have more together now then they did going into 9.1. So I'm pretty hopeful. I just hope they do better to address how thd Dread lords fit into all of this and where the devourers come from. Also liking some of tier sets. Definitely liking the broker armor and the weapons
This game has an amazing way of making everything in the environment generally kinda look the same. Always a generic forest with some stone, or a jungle, or a desert. Always looks copy and paste with a few tweaks.
This is basically Wildstar's story plot at this point. Wildstar's planet Nexus was used by the Eldan to experiment with creation and they created the Genesis Prime whose purpose was to create life. Zereth Mortis is basically the Nexus/Genesis Prime wrapped up in a neat little package that better fits WoW's universe.
