I’m not bothered by this at all. I picked the color I wanted and I already know that there is no achievement tied to it at all and I’ll be playing the whole saga anyway so I’ll get in time. Not like I’m gonna use the toy every chance I get. Just a fun little thing to have.
Not a big deal. Nobody needs to log onto 6 alts just to get a duck color.
I'm not mad, but I am disappointed. I was initially very excited about the toy and I wouldn't be as disappointed in this particular decision if I could have the disguises account bound, even if it mean only having the questline on one char. I change mains and roll new alts often so this just makes it a number in my toy collection. I'll stick to Pet Mirroring myself into my pet ducks.
It's like Blizzard wanted to say "we got no content for the playerbase so we hope to get them to stick around by fooling them with a 1 minute quest that will need 6 years to be completed". I'd work on actual content, instead of mini-events fueled by FOMO, but maybe I'm stupid? I mean Legion and Shadowlands were the best expacs in the last decade, content was so much that i still haven't done everything and among the people i played with, everyone agreed with this, while DF is like watching commercial spots at full volume and muting the movie. I keep logging in to play old content, last time i was in Valdrakken or anywhere near the Dragon Isles was.. I don't even remember when. Would this be considered content? 'Casue from where I'm from, this would be a 100% failure and the company should actually try to change the situation, making it better. Not stepping into the current expac map, is this the "content" Blizzard is so proud of? They are going to release s4 soon and I'm pretty much worried about the War Within, my husband gifted me the pre-purchase but I'm afraid he threw our money in the sewer, if this is the direction the game is taking.... I'm really sad, I always considered WoW my safe place, like reading a book but a bit more real and now I feel like a stranger..
I'm ok with this, but once one character has all 6 colors unlocked it should be account-wide. For the sake of rolling a new Character. Hope Blizz will reconsider.
I don't have a problem with each color being unlocked every year, however each color should be account wide.
Lol, as if I remember what colour I picked this year. But why will they introduce warbands for sharing even transmog, but don't share this toy appearance?I don't get it. It makes no sense.
It's no big deal whatsoever, but idk... It feels really weird and dumb IMO.Collecting all ducks colors will take 6 more times than the violet proto-drake lmao
Dear Diary, today I am upset about... checks notes... colors on a duck toy!
...wow, just when I thought blizzard was done doubling down on bad decisions..
So what? It's an mmo, having these long term goals and grinds is perfectly fine. People need to realize already, you will be fine if not every little thing is served to you on a plate.
I'll be 70 years old when this duck toy thing is completed... /sucks teeth
I'm probably weird for thinking it's fine to make a choice and move on versus getting all the colors.
Never change Blizzard. Truly a AAA decision.
Six years or six alts?
I don't think this is good "confirmation" as the blue post was by a technical support person and not an actual developer. It is insane if it's intended.
It's very much the implication tied to such a move, than 'oh it's just a duck toy, lol' . It flies directly in the face of the Account Wide everything assurances we've recieved for months+, and suggests either (both is of course still an option -- personal favorite) insincerity or incompetence. Following on from account-wide achievements that just don't work - all the 10.2.6 mount ones(hotfixed, but launching in a broken state..), the scales which still are non-functioning - a common thread being for people who completed it previously on different characters didn't get rewards. Several from those who completed it since patch being just fine. It's just unpromising, and (still, to my own surprise) disappointing.
I think the blizzard response to this is wild lol
Lol, where is WoW in six years?
