Can we end the socket items? Let’s go back to already socketed gear and socket bonuses. Just farming for resources to socket your gear is beyond boring.
I’m probably wrong - but is this the “thing” blizz is using to keep players grinding gear now that tier seems to be obtainable and there’s no titanforging?
I hope guaranteed sockets will come back in 10.0 to every slot (except trinkets) like in good old times.
Doubt. E.g., in 9.1.5 you could grind out all your sockets in an hour. If you're looking for something like Titanforging, there's still RNG stats like leech.
I want an item to add tertiary stats. Grinding speed items for speed sets is horrible

I wouldn't even be mad, then we could add our best stat to highest ilvl item and worry less about "is this an upgrade"?

umm yea they still got use. pvp gear doesn't have domination sockets so i had to buy 6 for every toon and while it sucked the rift farm cheese made it somewhat less painful
IMO all rings and necks should have sockets no matter what. Limiting sockets to what are essentially jewellery items makes sense. Since it’s only 3 slots, they should increase the amount of stats that gems give to compensate.
Sockets should either just be disabled completely, or there should be a way for players to use an item to create a socket. One of the most annoying things about competitive wow is the difference between players who got lucky and those that were unlucky. Take tertiary stats like leech for healers as an example. Those healers with high amounts of leech will automatically be more tanky and do more overall healing. even if both players had equal skill and cast the same amount of spells healing the same amount.Make the game more deterministic so people don't feel disengaged with the systems.
