Interesting that the question was framed as the player making a mistake in crafting a legendary, as opposed to legendary changes making a legendary less useful, or even useless? What happens when we have the wrong legendary due to something outside our control?
Can we remove the crafting element to it so I don’t have to shell out 30k per alt for my legendary?
A refund would be very appealing; as a Night Fae shadow priest I currently have two rank 4 legendries in the bank going unused due to tuning changes (Call of the Void and Talbadar's Strategem) . It would be nice to be able to use that Soul Ash for something.
Remember this interview is with Ion, take nothing he says seriously.
The question was about catch ups for a while range of content and he only said legendaries in his answer. I'm worried.
I wish some parts of WoW worked more like they do in Hearthstone. In that game, when a card is changed, (usually nerfed to the ground, but not always) Blizzard offers a full Dust-value refund for that card. Once they even did it for a related card.Legendaries in WoW should work the same way. Hell, Covenants should work that way! If I take the time to get to max Renown with Venthyr, then need to switch over to Kyrian because Blizzard changed something, I shouldn't have to grind out max Renown with the Kyrian, too. Blizard's goal shouldn't be: Force Players to Play a Lot Just to Break Even lol
