Taking a long time to upgrade an account with Paypal ?
This post was from a user who has deleted their account.
As a former wowheader, I know that Sko, Malgayne and the rest of the gang will be vigilant about keeping everything open to the non-paying public. We all (vaguely) remember other sites that put "premium" content behind a pay wall or rolled out new features to paying users first. And we know that most of those site are no longer relevant, if they are even still operating.I think they've got the right plan here. Pay a few bucks to support the cause and get "insider" status.Seems very similar to the Google GMail model: a paid account gets you priority access and a few spiffs. But free accounts still get almost everything except the automated enterprise tools.
I didn't even know GMail had "Premium" :SKnowing that I use it pretty frequently, I should look into it...I learned something new today, hooray!
ah DAMN! now i got to swith back to thottbot again or something ;(
Thank you, didn't saw that notice.@All against to pay something : I took a full year subscription even if i do not need one of the feature in the premium mode. I think is just normal to pay a little fee to thank the work gave by the owners of this wonderful site. There is hours of work behind the site, and any kind of work deserve some money. I'm sure all those who "cry" about something who is not even mandatory, are the last to work for free in anything ...
why people against this?they gone free for few years now and they will give the chance to people help support this site and you against it? fine don't upgrade most of stuff you get is avatar stuff is like "Free T-Skirt"and some more ease on use the siteyou can use wowhead like beforejust hope they know where the line is and not become to greedy that make annoying stuff like Cursed gaming ectbut for my own rant partnot like costume avatar's, the wow icon was cool enough ^^
Don't blame the people for wanting to make money. The process is quite common actually with many online websites:make a cool, free, useful website -> get many many members -> start chargingI don't blame them. The rich get richer, the poor get poorer. This is capitalism guys.
Careful with where the discussions go.
Just got the Premium service :) feels good to contribute to a site that ive been using for a few years ;)
