Aslong as we dont get borrowed power, mission table and a covenant like ability (make it cosmetic only) the game will be 50% better.
Bring back master loot as an option, and make group finder declare what loot mode the group is in. Give the players the choice to play how they want. This should be the core philosophy of game design, not trying to limit negative interactions. Negative players will find a way to be negative regardless of the systems.
I just hope this doesn't bring about "lol I didn't spec into interrupt" type problems. As long as you end up with your entire core kit by the end of it for your class then I'm fine with it I guess.
Looks like you can import talents-- hopefully they just let you take them directly from icy veins so random strangers won't yell at you for using the "wrong" talents.
To be honest my main issue with personal loot is that wow is a collaborative game, not a solo experience. I feel like if I run a 40 minute m+ dungeon giving it my all throughout then I should atleast have a roll on the loot that is dropped. When I see someone who did the same content in the exact same way I did get "assigned" a drop without any room for chance or negotiation it feels bad and almost makes me resent the player who got the loot. I feel like loot rolling really solved this issue well and other games like final fantasy still use this system in dungeons without issue. There are times (raid finder, world bosses, etc.) where personal loot is objectively better but that certainly isnt the case with the rest of the content.
While Great Vault is a better system than a single item chest in Legion and BFA, it has its problems like duplicates, too much requirements for additional loot choices and still way too much RNG involved.We need a way to target specific loot from Great Vault.Also M+ should drop guaranteed item for every player in the group from end of dungeon chest, not 2 items for lucky ones. It is extremely hard to target specific drops here, yet alone from Great Vault with loot pool of 10 dungeons and 11 raid bosses.

For Professions, I just want to be able to make some useful stuff for myself AND at least something that will sell on the AH. Too often neither of those things happen.I don't want a super complicated profession system, though I like the idea of progression and gearing up for it. But if it's anywhere near as complicated as legendaries/shards/sockets then no thanks. My fear from what they've shown is that only the people dedicating a ton of time to maxing out their profession will be able to make anything near useful.A continual complaint with every new expansion is you learn a bunch of armor recipes that aren't even useful for the first week of the expansion as they are immediately outclassed by quest gear. Give us some useful starter recipes.What they've shown could be really cool though if they avoid those roadblocks.
Can we just apprecieate the fact that they did not annouce any systems like covenants, artifact power or torghast? This expansion literally doesn't have any systems yet, and if it stays that way, alts will be playable!
Love personal loot and the vault, both have been great additions to the game.
I personally don't like The Great Vault, as it is far too often The Great Disappointment. Tier sets really highlighted this, when some people had full tier set four weeks in, from their vault, and others had 0. I think it definitely needs an upgrade.I am not against having to work for the rewards from the vault, that's completely fine; I am however against the completely random nature of the vault, which really removes the "consolation" part of it.One idea that I personally like, is a more deterministic approach to it: Farm X dungeons, be able to choose an item from their loot table, with the amount increasing per item level. This holds especially true, when the vault often becomes the sole path of upgrades, for anyone outside mythic raiding (due to the item levels).Another idea, could be the "shredder" type mechanic, where you feed stuff you don't want, into the vault, and after X amount has been shredded, you can get an item.There are many ideas on how to improve the vault, that I think should be investigated, as the current one does not really seem to fulfill the purpose; though it is for sure an upgrade over the single chest, I just think it has a way to go still.
