I believe you mixed up the guide for the 2 stat buffs. 1) Going to the Inn and targeting the fire mote sounds more like its the steps for "Sleepy Ruby Warmth." 2) I tested this myself in hopes of getting the Haste buff but after downloading the WA it looks like instead I received the Crit buff.
went to the Mote of Magical Fire and it gave me crit one lmao
I just targeted a single hostile turtle outside of Valdrakken and got an AOE charge, so it's clearly not as simple as just using on a hostile creature to get the single target currency.
"With a relatively small amount of data so far, we can safely say that the fire shot (single target) mode is potentially significantly better than most people assume it is, with a 6min Terros log showcasing it comfortably keeping up with Manic Grieftorch."Meanwhile if you look at every other fight it is significantly behind. I wouldn't jump the gun on this one quite yet. Torch ,overall, on every boss encounter did almost 3x the damage. Neat trinket but still not that great.
If I understand correctly, the "training" upto 6 times doesn't change (buff) the amount of damage/healing it does, right? All it does is, make the whelp perform trained ability more often when proc'd.I guess that means if you want to use this in M+ keys as a DPS, you have two options. If crit or haste is one of your best stat for AoE situations, then train the whelp for that buff since it's very conveniently missing Master and Versatility buffs. If those two stats don't do much for you, then go with the AoE damage ability training. Is this pretty much the deal here or am I talking gibberish? 😕😵
I find my whelp will randomly shoot a not in combat PVE also in the open world and even when I am stealthed. It is usually not long after I had previously finished engagement on another mob and I had tabbed to a new mob within range but not engaged. They were an aggressive mob.
I targeted the lower of the two 'Mote of Magical Fire' to gain 'Under Red Wings' stack, but instead I got 'Sleepy Ruby Warmth' stack. My crit was 20% (1821) and my haste was 15% (2611).
I tried this piece of crap for healing, did great throughput.Only problem was it only seemed to proc when everyone was at full health, even though it did something like 1.5 million healing in a dungeon, it was ALL over healing.
I wonder if the time of day may reflect on the type of bud you receive , maybe evening use gets the cozy warmth buff and early morning is haste , *shrug* just a thought
Here's my fininding. I just assumed that using it on enemies wil be offensive for the day, and that's it. With that WA, it shows that I have 4 in ST (Fire Shot), 2 in AoE (Lobbing Fire Nova) damage. I concordance with this I felt a bit weaker in the past few days in M+, maybe even progressively so.Looking at the dungeon logs, I've noticed that I have none of the Crit (Sleepy Ruby Warmth) or Haste (Under Red Wings) for 2 consecutive dungeons. Hitting the dummies in Veldrakken also seemed to give no buff but only the direct damage procs seemed to come up. This was certainly not the case 3 days ago, when I last tested this trinket.TL:DR: My experience seems to match the one described in the article, as far as the procs go. (I have a 402 ilvl RWS)
Sure it's good, but saying it keeps up with a trinket that is 10 levels lower is a bit misleading.
@Mandl I just got +1 Lobbing Fire Nova by attacking turtles (Sleepless Fickleshell) near Valdrakken (had fire shot 3 and fire nova 1 previously, now 3/2), 3 were engaged when I pressed the trinket.Being in combat with more than 1 mob seem to prioritize AoE training.
Yeah I'm not doing all that when I could just loot a different trinket. Also keeping up with a manic grieftorch seems dubious at best. I would need to see a lot more data on that.
nvm
I have gotten the Crit stack 3 times out of 3 while targetting the bottom mote in the inn, crit being higher once (WW monk), haste being higher twice (BDK and Feral dudu (offspec of my rdudu))
