I'm not sure it's worth the effort to gear up now when apparently all your level 60 gear will get replaced by questing greens/blues as you level up.
How ? wait for fresh TBC servers or just don't bother at all.
You won't be replacing Naxx T3 gear until you are pretty much level 70. 73 dps weapons last a long time. The HWL weapons will last you until close to the end as well. You don't really get equivalent weapons until like Ring of Blood in Nagrand so grabbing that stuff early can be huge. So some slots raid gear can carry you for a long while. People will be doing Kara pre-quests with some pieces of T3 still on.
You ain't getting the KT trinket as a returning player!
I hate how all guides in here is about how you as fast as possible get done with the current expansion. When did WoW become a race for everything ? If you play the game this way, why not just stay in retail?
Why does this article assume everyone is in Molten Core gear? My Classic main whom I have recently resumed leveling in preparation for BC isn't even level 60 yet.
"To maximize the last few weeks and Pre-Patch time before the Dark Portal opens, here is a list of things those players can work towards!" wow the guy who wrote this guide is living in the future i guess. i havent even seen an update on the ptr outside of a sticker about tbc, but we knew about tbc classic last month. at this rate we wont see pre patch on the ptr for another 2 weeks to a month. and then probably a month after that it will go live.
It depends on your class. I know I'll be replacing a lot of my gear with stuff from dungeons and quests, just because that's how good the new stat scaling can go. That said, the difference isn't that large, so if you're feeling particularly lazy, you can do Kara just fine in T2.5/T3.
I can't believe nobody has said it, but, "YOU ARE NOT PREPARED!"
I get the idea behind a guide but man this is a bunch of fluff. Do players seriously need a guide to join raids, do BG's, make a new toon, or farm gold? There are things in classic that become unobtainable later on so maybe focus on those things instead of the retail inspired meme guide. Sorry for being direct.
Can the guide writer please include the link that they supposedly have that absolutely confirms that the pre patch is coming out in the next few weeks or so? Because otherwise, people are gonna be extremely mislead and confused by something that is pure speculation at this point. We still have a couple months before the beta even begins, the pre patch ain't coming out until maybe August at the very earliest.
