It's not a system. It's literally a single piece of gear. Is it valuable? Yes. For people that are obsessed with min-maxing and are constantly switching covenants to cater to their specific activity at any given time, sure the candy being locked behind revered (not even exalted, revered) will be a source of anxiety. For everyone else, it'll be fine. For all the mythic cutting edge raiders, they'll all be freaking out that they won't have it before the world first race starts...just like everyone in the same race. Humans will get it slightly sooner, and those obsessed with that kind of difference will gnash their teeth, like they always do.Once a day, we'll be able to log in, do the three WQs and anything else up, then move on to something else. The fact they reset at different times is irrelevant. And here's why that's important: a little bit of time gating is frustrating for people who have more than average amounts of time to play. Zero time gating is proven to be harmful, when looking at what's happened in the past with folks that have come to harm or neglected their kids because it was possible for them to sit down and grind from start to finish without stopping a la Timbermaw.
I don't mind the time-gating but locking it behind a rep is not fun. The Reusable Augment Rune was enough for the rep, and understandable, this is locked behind rep and that rep is also time-gated. I know they don't like degeneracy but if they allowed us to farm it endlessly it would be soo much better. Or better yet, do what they did with renown, just gate it behind some weeks of campaign
Why does the team of devs on this game think this is what players want? They can't stop making new talent trees every patch. I fifth grader could make something more interesting.
FFS, i bet you are the type of people who order something at a restaurant and when you get a pile of rubbish you eat it instead of sending it back to the damn kitchen.Listen geniuses, guess what: grinds are fine, but they can be made to be short and sweet, filled with fun content that contributes to achieving a goal. In World of Warcraft grinding for unlocks are boring, repetitive and way too long. The reason why people are not happy about what the devs are doing here is because BLIZZARD CAN DO BETTER THEN THIS, and they have done it better in the past!If you think "well if people leave then leave" or "if it's boring don't play it LUL" then you don't seem to understand the fact that all the things people complain about could have better solutions! It could be way more fun! If your solution is to burry your head into the sand and gulp down the @#$% they feeding you, then i'm happy for you, but don't act like that this is good game design.
On a different note than the one in my previous comments, there are MMOs which have a much better PvP scene. Those who are struggling to accept the reputation grind might be able to find something of interest in one of these other games.Best MMO PVP of 2021
How about, just design a rep with some nice mogs, pets, toys, mounts, maybe even some HC level gear casuals could look forward to grinding towards and leave all these mandatory power gains out of the vendor. Easy.
Its fine! Account wide and only 28 days :) I dont want it to be thrown before my feet without doing anything ...so I dont know u guys but just chill. It´s still PTR. Greetings!
Reading these comments made me remember something amusing:When Blizzard said, that you don't have to interact with the Cyphers because they have no player power behind them, a lot of people complained about the whole feature being useless, because without player power attached nobody will interact with the system.Yes yes, different people, I get it. But still, it's pretty amusing. It just shows again: However you do it, you do it wrong.
For me it won't take longer than a 1 minute because I'm not playing this patch. I just finished Korthia grind, I won't for sure endure another month of daily boring grind. At the current state the game is, they should convince us to play not the other way around. They are not doing us any favor.
Listing the complete maximum time to hit revered isn't helpful, does anyone have an estimate on minimum days till revered from ptr? (Assuming average rng)
