Say what you will about Gobo Pallys, but I LOVE the idea of class themed skins, i want a frost blood boi, and a bloody frost boi =D
Specs within specs could be cool down the line.
Give me them all
God, it is physically painful to keep seeing these amazing fan concepts that are all infinitely cooler than anything we'll actually get in game, with whatever time it has left. Which, considering how the lawsuit keeps developing, is probably down to a couple years at absolute best.
Can we stop using the lore as an excuse when Blizzard decided not to add Warlock for the Zandalari when ironically there is absolutely no reason for them not to be. They just chose to cut Warlock out of the Zandalari arsenal. Also, yes, the founding "fathers" of Paladins were all priests and every Paladin after them were willing priests taught in the art of meele combat. Neverthless, Blizzard proved that they are inconsistent with their choosing of the race/class combo. Worgens did not have anything to do with the Legion, yet, here they are Warlocks and poof goes the argument of why Zandalari cant be Warlocks. There is absolutely no reason for Warlock to not be available for all races using the same logic they used for Pandaren Death Knights. There are alot of races that not only are incompatible with the theme of the DK, some of them contradicts it.They are using lore reasons for some classes but then they "feel" like it is not right with others. They give lore reasons for Demon Hunters to be able only to Belf and Nelf but in reality using their own logic, any race individual that is able to go through the ritual can be Demon Hunter. After legion expansion we have learned how Demon Hunters are made. So which is it? I dont know. Blizzard is inconsistent with its own race/class combos. If we are using Blizzards own logic and make it consistent all races should have all classes. If I were to go on a stretch how Blizzard makes then there is no reason for the Man'ari to join the Alliance or Horde. Oh, suddenly its about the lore when they dont like the idea of a race/class combo.
But I like my giant buffalo wing...
I would love to see Human Shamans. I know we have Kul'tirans but it's not the same as a human shaman.
The game need stuff like this to freshen it up.
It is well past time that blizz allow all races to play all classes. They've pretty much thrown out the lore anyways. Why not let players be any combo they want. It would be fun, but I know it would difficult to do in game and would have to be in a major patch or in another xpac.
Totally dig the Lightfang idea as a worgen player myself
I would like to see druids up next.
Honestly, I myself don't mind classes being locked to certain races if it makes sense, BUT, the class-specific flavors would be nice to have. Part of Legion's big draw was the class fantasy after all. But being Blizzard, they've become notorious for scraping by with just bare minimum to this point and I don't see that changing for the better unfortunately. The company really seems to constrain what their wonderful art teams can do and it's a shame.
Pandaren paladins I would absolutely LOVE to see! I even thought of which celestials embody the different talent specs as well.Chi'ji - Represents the healing magic of the holy spec paladin, curing the sick and healing the injured.Niuzao - Represents the stoic stance and endurance of the protection spec paladin. Protects those who can't protect themselves, and weathering all that break upon them.Xuen - Represents the keen precision, sheer strength, and righteous anger of the retribution spec paladin. Righting wrongs, avenging the fallen, and purging the land of evil is what they're all about.
I love a lot of these concepts and the artwork! I would especially love to see maybe glyphs or something like that at least to change some of the iconic paladin spells to have the colors or effect-looks of some of these if say you want to make a non-paladin character of today (so priest, warlock, mage, monk, or any of the other classes that can do spells or embuing effects(?)) to look holy or at least that race's themed version.Like you can already make a Druid of the Sun with the glyph that changes Starfall into a more sunny appearance (Glyph Of The Sun) and I guess just only using the Sun-based spells instead of swapping between the two, same could be said for a Druid Of The Night with the Glyph Of Stars to give you a starry form instead of the owlkin form and just using the star-based spells. Also now that I think about it, we can also already use the Weapon Effect Illusions in the transmog tab to make our weapons glow a certain color or effect if we have it already so that I guess covers weapon looks? But not a holy or themed version glyph of any one race's spells specifically, outside of actual priest and paladin races in the game already I mean.Just thinking of a way to make a few of the classes look like paladins or priests of the chosen race's theme I guess, outside of holy looking Light-based armor and the some random spell glyphs. Maybe we need an all classes set of glyphs to change spells to a certain color? Maybe just for the player's eyes only? Or not. You decide.Just thinking in the comments.
