Wouldn't bother me honestly, I don't even have any bandages on a single character. Every time that stupid first aid quest pops up from random loot I just delete it. Any damage stops it from being cast, just get rid of it I'd be fine with that.
Honestly, I never used it maybe a long time ago but not now. If it is not useful it does not contribute to the RPG elements of the game so I say, Good bye first aid! (If it even gets removed)
Revamp it - make it exclusively PVP utility, change the hot time to be longer, but a shorter cd, and add a burst self-heal bandage with a longer cc, and expand the "menu" of debuff heals, not just a cure poison, but salves and ointments to treat other ailments.
It's too bad. I remember when I first started, we all had to keep a stack of bandages with us at all times when we raided. Everyone had to cover their own behind back then, and it was awesome. It hasn't been useful for a long time outside of leveling.
I think removing it would be a very bad idea. Bandages are a good thing to use in a pinch
I don't think this is a good idea, they could turn first aid into something useful, combine it with other secondary professions to create (for example: cooking) poison resistant + stat food. or fire, frost, whatever. We could create battle pet bandages, band-aids for our followers and recruits, stonger healing potions that the alchemy ones, resurrecting scrolls in the form of Defibrillators, syringes to buff temporary speed or mana/rage/focus regen. I think this profession has been... under-appreciatedI apologize for my bad english :P
I bet they'll frak it up just like everything else nowadays. They'll remove it without redesigning the FA based quests first.Don't you have all the MoP dragons? Do you want to do Just a Flesh Wound?Learn Tailoring or use the AH!Hunter / Monk Campaign anyone?Learn Tailoring or use the AH!Legion FA quests?Garbage!I admit I haven't used it for years but since the sh!t-patch my mage really loves it… :(
From an RPG standpoint, I can see the desire to keep first aid. From a practical standpoint, the only character I have that has used bandages since Legion dropped was my Rogue. At the higher levels, especially since I play a Resto-Druid mainly, bandages seem to have become a space consumer in the bags. I remember a time when bandages were my best friend, though the game does not seem to require them anymore.
I'd miss it a lot... but mainly 'cause of nostalgia. It was great back around vanilla+ when you'd see many players actually try and CC you, run away to bandage and the come back :D Was even useful in some dungeons back then... but yeah that's nothing I could even imagine happening these days.I liked the WoD attempt that healing pots came from first aid. In general though, maybe if bandaged would heal %based they'd be more interesting again but 336k when people run around with 6+ million hp is simply worthless.
So this means that the classes and specs without a heal ability will;be getting one right? It seems more and more that there is a lot of cheap peyote being burned in the dev offices.Do we have actual coders and designers as devs or just a bunch of MBA marketing types with no clue and no math skills whatsoever?
I liked first aid, sure it wasn't actually useful, but as a tank I liked the flavour of being able to make myself a field dressing,it makes sense.I also enjoy bandaging someone after a duel (may it be my opponent,or two other people I was watching fight),didn't make a lot of difference but it was enjoyable
People use healthstones, don’t they? So turn bandages into 1sec channeled, non-interruptible, once-in-a-fight items and they are useful again. It took me about 5 sec to figure out one idea … why does it take blizz years to come up with the worst possible solution? Removing first aid form people who want to keep it for various reasons AND keeping it in the game via tailoring, i.e. keeping a lot of “useless” stuff “no one uses”.
Or instead of removing it, they could buff the healing it gives. First aid hasn't been worth the effort in a while because the healing you get from it is minuscule. Therefore increase the healing. It would be quite useful for solo content again.
Shut up...Rogue use Bandage all the times during in stealth or out of stealth without DoTs. It didn't break Stealth at all. Also Hunter's Camo and Druid's Prowl too.Keep 1st Aid profession and I love it for Rogue.I have reasons ... I'm against Tailoring because they'll be lazy to crafting Bandages then sell on the AH.
If I were attempting to save First Aid, here's what I'd try:Bandages:Increase the healing benefit of bandages by 5-10% of total health over 6 seconds, breaking on damage.New First Aid craftables:A defibulator to resuscitate dead players.Medicine for curing a disease, crafted using special medicinal herbs.Poison extractor/pump to remove a poison, crafted using engineering parts perhaps.A Field Kit hour long buff that reduces the duration of various health effects on your character by 1/3rd of their total duration (a 12 second debuff becomes an 8 second debuff). Works on poisons, diseases, blindness, some movement impairing effects (hamstring for example, but not roots or ice nova), polymorph, and fear.A First Aid Station, similar to a feast, would provide the Field Kit buff to party/raid members.
