Survival is really fun to play right now, and it's really fun to put on great damage. The solution isn't to nerf survival and make suddenly everything more difficult for them. The solution is to buff other classes. Every dps class with similar ilvl and similar skill levels should be able to put out this much dps. I do not believe the myth that class balance is impossible to achieve. I think it is possible to have all classes within +/- 5k dps of each other, all things being equal. It should come down to nothing else but gear and skill level. Thus, allowing everyone to play whatever class they find to be the most fun. It is absurd that from patch to patch, expansion to expansion, there is only a small group of classes that out-perform all others. And not by small amounts, but massive, massive, massive difference in numbers. It makes you feel like you are making a mistaking playing your class. You feel pressure to switch or else constantly discouraged. There is really no excuse. There is no justification whatsoever for the same ilvl, similar skill levels, and one class can more than double the dps, both on single target and AOE, that of another class. At that point, it becomes clear that the imbalance is intentional. I truly believe that the devs think it is more fun to have some classes on top and others on bottom, and to rotate them around from patch to patch and expansion to expansion. I think they decided it was hard to balance classes, and they decided to just embrace the imbalance instead, and honestly it has made me quit playing for multiple periods of time during the past several years. It exactly the kind of logic we have seen them apply in this game for many years now. I can just imagine that idiot Ion in some staff meeting saying "Let's just embrace the imbalance".
Just because the key had 3 SV hunters doesn't mean it cant be completed with other specs. Monks/Warriors/Warlocks can still pump this kind of DPS numbers.Stop crying while most of you people in the comments can't complete 15s.
This is not a matter of balancing anymore, it’s a case of Fair Game! No class can have this kind of advantage, this is terrible for the game.Nerfing superpowered specs can’t wait an entire season, this is a case of urgency. If the nerf is too high, correct the problem again next day, not next week, and so on.If developer team assigned to balance is so incompetent, change the team. This situation can’t last that long. Blizzard need better guidelines about nerfing and buffing specs that are at the extreme points of the curve.
I love how all the people in this comment section be like "nerf this nerf that bla bla bla SV hunter op destro/demo lock busted etc." but how about buffing bad classes to make them GOOD instead of trying to nerf stuff in order to make everything mediocre?
