Balance druid is 100xtimes harder than frost mage on Thwarting the Twins
Got guardian druid, the mount, and all the mogs except priest. Maybe next time I will finish it all.
Balance druid is totally HARD and overtuned.
4/7 and making progress on the frost mage (60% after only like 5 attempts). I still think this whole event was a bit of a miss. Should have been a brawler's guild type event not a random mythic encounter that's harder than it was in legion. Most players remember the MT in the down time between Legion and BFA and enjoyed it. This is just nasty
Frost Mage and warlock are definitely the easiest.
Just finished up the seventh today. I was late to the party and started focusing on the tower around December 20th, from initially not wanting to bother with the challenge this holiday. I read up on what route was the easiest and used characters ranging from level 50 to 60. I started with Xylem as arms warrior, then moved on to the healer challenge on holy paladin. As someone who's never healed before, this was the hardest one for me, especially since you can't practice the phases as consistantly as you can with the other challenges. I moved on to Kruul on vengeance DH, then God-Queen on ret pala (this one took me surprisingly many pulls, maybe because I couldn't get the Seed Pod this last week. Agatha as fury warrior was a total faceroll, and the Feltotem fight on WW monk was also pretty easy (I slapped double crusader on it for the memes). The last one I did was Twins as frost mage.I had a lot of fun doing this. I'm not really a multi-classer; I just level some alts from time to time, but I don't really play them. So the challenge resulted in me learning a lot about the playstyles of different specs. My main is a hunter for the time being, and I haven't done a single challenge on it yet, lol.Good luck to those of you trying to finish this at the moment.
Nice try, but I'm not touching this with a 1000 meter stick before they nerf it
Nah. I'll wait until next go 'round when maybe things will be better balanced. I'm genuinely happy that loads of people are enjoying this event. I, however, have no real interest in it. I completed it back in Legion on my main (holy priest). Last week, out of sheer interest, I zoned in to check it out. It felt far more unforgiving than it did in Legion. I think Blizzard is doing a disservice to their dwindling community by not keeping this up for longer and/or more consistently. The class imbalance is disheartening. I used to be a slave to FOMO but not anymore. I'll wait this one out. Big congrats to those who have already collected their transmogs and the mount <3
Couldnt get the druid mog :( wasted countless hours there and than just left . Gonna wait till they nerf it in future .
I like how 3 of the 7 challenges are "one of the hardest" or "one of the most difficult." And if you include guardian druid, you have 4 of 7 (the majority) of the challenges being called the hardest.Meanwhile they call Thwarting the twins hard, but neglect to report how people who have never played a mage before can take a level 51 trial and blast the bosses on that challenge down within 10 attempts.
The guide says returns in April, but the in-game calendar says July 19th. Its supposed to be on a 6-month rotation not 4-month.
I tried couple of times few challenges some of them i didnt even play in legion while others i finished multiple times tho in legion mage tower u cannot use/dont have legion legendary powers is just too stupid... im not gonna touch because its not worth my nerves and frustration... again... end of story.
The toolkit required to complete the frost mage challenge requires a set of play skills that many players may lack. If you have never played a class that requires you to use a cast while moving ability, contently be switching targets that may not be in your FOV, maneuver your camera (without clipping the annoying trees), and then lay down an aoe placed ability like blizzard in the proper place without missing a GCD there will be a learning curve for the twins. Took me about 80 tries to get used to doing this. Prot paladin almost made me uninstall the game (200 tries), frost mage was similar.
Still needs tuning, otherwise skip
That's weird because i can see the in-game calender mention Legion TW as early as middle of March
Tried protection warrior, it's just impossible. If they never nerf MT, I'm done with the game that is just a set of impossible obstacles. In Legion they wisely made it gear dependent so it became easier with time, although it was still very-very hard.
