Blizzard please, I'm begging you to hire this person. You've missed so many opportunities when a fan recreates some warcraft area in Unreal Engine 5. Don't mess it up again this time!
Very nice work indeed.
They've even got a goblin doin' a fortnite dance at 1:25. Poggers.
Very awesomely made!Stuff like this always rises the quesion:Would a WoW 2.0 work in a more realistic art style, or is it the Art Style we currently have that makes it World of WarCraft and not Elder Scrolls online, Final Fantasy 14 or any other MMORPG outthere, therefore remaking WoW realisticly would be killing what makes it unique?Just a question..but sersiously would not mind seeing Vulpera, Tauren, Pandaren, Trolls and Dwarves in that engine too.
I think it would work. Just thing about the render trailers, or the Warcraft movie. The renders are what WOW2.0 could look like. The style is already there and working.Unreal and other engines now capable to run similar lvl on a fairly common gaming computer, and more optimized compared to current wow graphics/optimization ratio.
The art style of wow is what makes it unique and timelsess. If they try to make it more realistic that would be bad, Blizz knows this as well that's why they haven't. The graphics could get enhanced with some eye candy, but ultimately I think the style will remain the same.
People saying like this is the only person to ever do this, but they already have their high-def orgrimmar gate and it looks orders of magnitude closer to what the gate actually looks like. Like yeah this is kind of cool, but that's about all it is.
Should this be WoW 2.0? No.Should this be a new ARPG Warcraft game for consoles? HELL YHEA!
This is an awesome piece of work.Nevertheless, it is impossible to move World of Warcraft to Unreal Engine 5 in order to achieve better graphics without changing the game at it's core.Game engine is not just graphics.I don't know about many of you folks, but I don't want World of Warcraft to become a different game.
minus all of the amazing texture i want everyone to look at the !@#$in orc ITS NOT WONKY! its not impossible lets get this quality of wow blizz dont go full send into cartooney its a lazy and cheap excuse to save money and do less work when the game can perform just as good with this look if you put time and money into it
It's not only a matter of Warcraft having a specific "cartoony" art style. It's also a problem of engine, coding and workload. We're talking about a game from 2004. Moving it to another engine would basically be making a new game from scratch, and creating new models and textures for every asset in a game with the size and variety of WoW is a titanic task. That's one of the reasons I doubt there will ever be a "WoW 2". It's just way too much work.
Good and beautifull, but still no innovationMMORPG Need massive innovation on gameplay, in particular in 3 category: Physics, Destruction and Alternate Shard- adding phisics effect like, push, trhown, gravity change and controll, projectile impact force.think at mage arcane making an antigravitationl field where enemy levitate mid air, or monk touchofdeath send the enemy 40 yr away, dk death and decay, make enemy sunking in currupted ground where they get stuck, warrior charge split all enemy in front of him, hunter clipping enemy at the wall or ground, druid and shaman summoning tree and rock wall that can not get pass and act as out of line sight, even frost mage, and so on and on.- Destruction, think at arena, where if u got piss of the collum well, let's bring them down! or the bridge, where u can plan to make them fall on enemy head and trap them under. Even boss fight were the shape of the room and all the collum, wall, rooft, bridge, can be destroyed for new mechaninc (think at battlefield 3/4 maps destruction- Alternate shard, shadowpriest going "the other side" of the world, where they can do things different, or lock portal working like the portal from PORTAL the game, pop a portal on ground, another on roof, mobs goes in and fall to dead, swapping gravity, where the wall became the ground or the roof became the ground (like in incetption hotel corridor scene),
While this look soo freakin good, it wouldn't work for an MMO. The amount of people you have to load in with different armors sets would make this a laggy nightmare.
hire him what for?the wow engine is proprietary and they have no plan to move to an unreal more realistic engine.
I find it not surprising that people are being rude in the comments, anyway, Nice job, it's always neat to see WoW in unique styles, the reason why this specific person is being showcased is because they're showing specific locations and specific animations.
It's like a whole new game!Looks a bit too much like Conan Exiles though..
