Yep. Make Marrowrend do multi target damage. Blood Death Knight needs more damage.
interesting change, the only thing which afraid me, is they are doing semi major changes on classes at 3 weeks of the global release...
Why the hell we even need marrowrend or boneshield? I like the way Blood DK is in wotlk, no extra bull*!@# and its way more fun.
From the article it sounds more like Death's Caress is "way to cheap". Dont say that to blizz twice, I am sure that is the least effort solution they would take - definitely simpler than re-designing Marrowrend.
From a purely aesthetic point of view:Death's Caress applying bone stacks feels like an odd interaction, Marrowrend is literally stealing the bone from your victims, and it's in line with our melee status. It feels more satisfying to me, to chop someone like that, rather than an airy caress. (I'm caressing the bones from you from afar!). I like being Deathy, not a weirdo.Rotation-wise: whatever is efficient, but I like it when tanks can focus less on rotation and more on the mechanics of an encounter.
I kinda wish that we had choice nodes for Marrowrend and Death's Caress. Where we could choose between a Marrowrend that gives 3 stacks of BS and ST, or a Marrowrend that gives 1-2 stacks and is AoE. A Death's Caress option like pre-DF, and what we have now. Sometimes you just wanna go mindlessly slaughter some old content, and not having to wait 6 seconds for your only ranged attack for situations like that might be nice.Oh, and Mandl, as always, has a good point about Crimson Scourge and Relish in Blood; if RIB gave us that 24% AP/BS charge heal as a HoT for every second we stand in that free DnD, it -might- be worth it, but aside from that, and the occasional uptime increase on DnD, both of these talents feel... Uninspired, and like a talent point you actively feel like you're spending poorly. Also, anyone else feel that Acclimation(-60s on IBF) and Merciless Strikes(2% crit) should swap places in the General tree? Feels weird to have a DPS talent lead into a tank talent, and a tank talent lead into a DPS talent.
The ultimate benefit of this interaction is that we get to save one rune every once in a while. Who cares? We already have too many runes to spend as it is. One extra rune just means we get to replace a Blood Boil for an extra Heart Strike. Yay.I honestly prefer when BDK's rotation has a few empty GCDs. It means that when you know heavy damage is about to land, you can afford to pause your rotation entirely for a second and react with a Death Strike the instant the damage comes. This makes healers' lives a lot easier -- they don't need to wonder if you're going to heal up that big spike that just landed, you just do yourself before they can waste an emergency heal on you. Removing guesswork like this results in a much better group dynamic for both tank and healer, especially in pugs.
Wish they would also make them alot faster, losing resources because the drw decides to drag after you is more than annoyin.Though granted the death carass helps with that(tho i would rather have a proper fix) since the ability is ranged.
