Looks fun and opens new ways how to run the dungeon, so I guess it will be good :) it will be actually first affix which can provide some advantage (skips) when used properly instead of just slowing you down :)
Does Wowhead need a proofreader/editor? I could help...
Ion mentioned that the lieutenants left alive will join the final boss fight.
Some errors - first line
This seems significantly more interesting and less obnoxious to deal with then the current Beguiling affix. Hopping around trying to figure out which piece of world geometry counts as LoS to avoid the Void explosion or having the healer poke the Arcane lady back with Lighting Bolt occasionally doesn't really feel like it changes the strategy much for this current season. I wonder though if the portal locations in each dungeon to start out with will be static or if they will change each week?
A perk I see is that we won't need rogues as much as in S3.I approve.
If it can dilute the top runs from using 2 or 3 rogues, then I'm all for it. I'm still wondering why they can't analyze this themselves and figure out that "exceptionally hard" packs are going to be skipped and they should just balance it better... Like the pack of 1 dwarf in TD vs the pack before the vomit boss in Atal... /balanced /hahaHow would I solve it? Reduce overall trash so you have to do those hard packs to make percent (so probably reduce overall trash 40%) - so keep the difficulty but reduce the slog. Think "Maw of Souls" bois, that was more fun than every dungeon in BfA. M+ should all be 20-25 minutes for most runs.
It is nice to look at the site and not see 10 classic posts in a row...New affix looks fun as heck. Especially to avoid some mobs but wonder how much miniboss will add to completeion % to offset the skip?
Maybe it's just me, but this looks like it makes the dungeon easier? A keystone affix that allows you to skip trash easily, and, use the portal again whenever you use the obelisk any subsequent times.Isn't the whole point of an affix to make it harder? Not sure what they were thinking.
(crab) Rogues are gone! (crab)
can't wait to test this! it really looks interesting
I have to wonder if this will just end up being a non-affix for groups who have a rogue or use invis pots. Is there any reason to do the mini bosses other than skips (which presumably reduce trash % you end up with).I suppose that with the trash coming to the last boss could make timing a bit easier and less prone to going drastically over on trah, but it's a risky proposition to skip a ton of trash, only to have it come back and murder you on the last boss.Interested in seeing exactly how this works.
Anything is better than "Bully Azshara's handmaidens until they rage quit the dungeon"
This is actually a great affix if it pans out the way it looks.
Might depend on the last boss of the dungeon. I can't see people wanting adds on AD or TD, especially on a Tyrannical week.
Rogues will still be used. Now they will use shroud to reach these pylons.
