I'll take it, but I'd also like flying in the maw and korthia as well cause traversing those awful zones is painful.I like the idea of it being locked behind the cypher system, just wondering at how the timeline is looking for getting the cyphers unlocked and if its hard capped or if it's farmable.
I hope this cypher system is the first step toward a Box of Many Things-style progression system for outdoor zones that doesn't affect raids or dungeons or battlegrounds.Only affecting the outdoor zones will allow for boosting characters without being 'mandatory' for raiders, PvPers and mythic dungeon runners, and it would mean no character-wide borrowed power to have fun little effects because it's no longer tied to gear or anything. Just once you've done enough in a zone each character on your account takes 15% less damage and deals 20% more and gets a 20% rep buff in that zone, or something.Like, zone mastery. Less balance issues when it's just content you can do solo anyway, less obligation when it doesn't carry into instanced content.
So when Blizzard say they've changed and listened, what they mean is that they haven't listened and haven't changed.
So just for the sake of pointing it out this is another progression system. I understand it is the 9.2 version of renown but it is still yet another progression system which dosn't actually build our character beyond the bonds of that zone and this expansion.My issue with how Blizzard handles borrowed power and gameplay system is that they are so isolated. I know wow has lacked the idea of our characters growing from one expack to another ever since WoD but it is now to a point where I think alot of class gameplay is worse then it was 5 years ago. It feels like it has regressed exponentially from talent designe to our basic spell pools. Much of our gameplay gets fixed with borrowed power and gets broken the moments we lose it at the start of every expack.I think it is high time for the devs to stop re inventing the wheel every expansion.

is that "in the end" that scares me. Knowing Blizzard, they'll gate flying behind exalted rep or story completion, so that when you finally unlocked you have nothing to farm anymore. Hope to be wrong.
