Tuning this season is total garbage. There's only 2% protection warriors in the 25+ crowd and 42% death knights according to raider.ioShadowpriests are nearly unplayable and feral druids literally don't exist 25+ (there is not a single one registered)90% of that stupid 0.1% Achievement will be made up with warlocks, DKs and hunters. Bravo Blizzard!
Lol is turned almost every week. It's a game where you can replace the champion with just one click. This is the turning cycle that a typical gamer wants. However, WoW takes many hours to nurture a spec, and the wrong choice makes all of this time go away. They've even done interviews that boast this lazy tuning. Obviously Blizzard doesn't change. They don't really understand spending money on turning. I think Blizzard's turning team doesn't focus on WoW. They want to reduce costs and prefer to manage various games like Diablo 3 by one team. This is the fundamental reason why a line or two is changed in a month or two.In any case, the result is a rapid decrease in users on Overwatch and WoW, but they don't learn from it.Blizzard doesn't change. Don't expect too much. The people who think like that are developing the game without changing.
Healer damage balance is terrible too. A resto shaman and a holy priest can do 8k-9k damage. MW can do 5k max but we didn't heal at all and we need the Resonant Reservoir trinket which we can't even loot. So usually MW does 4k damage. Since it's important for others to have PI , interupt etc and good damage no one wants to invite a MW monk . Sometimes I am in LFG for hours or try to push my own keys and sometimes people leave after 5 minutes so it goes down 3-4 levels . I did try whole season to apply to groups joined multiple discord servers and guess what no one wants to have a MW even for a weekly 15. They let MW monks and Disc priests to be underdog for years. I remember when in Legion and even in BFA people were happy if a healer signed up to the key. This is not the case anymore
The destro nerfs shouldn't have gone in now, they should have gone in two months ago when it was already obvious destro would reign supreme in m+. Along with survival. But in typical blizzard fashion, they waited too long and then decided it was too late to do anything, better luck next season!
Just tune the spec to the instance (raid, m+, pvp) like the modifiers for pvp. Otherwise there will be no tuning, 'can't tune because world first' , 'can't tune because AWC', 'can't tune because MDI'. Tune everything to the middle performing spec, buff bottom - nerf top
Yep, they don't even properly balance tanks for a long time now. In BfA prot warr was better than anyone else and now it's blood dk.
I started playing my destro at the same time they became OP (not on purpose, i just enjoy the spec) and it quickly made me lose interest because everyone else was playing one too. There's just something about the flavor of the month specs that really put me off- partly because I know they'll be in the dumpster in a couple of months but mainly because I like feeling special and playing something uncommon lolIt's nice to play the mid-ranked specs and really shine with them - gives a feeling of accomplishment that you played well rather than performing well because the numbers are overtuned
many problems would be solved if you could level your own key without being pushed back the whole time by griefing.. or simply lack of pplnot having to pick hero & cr & tank & heal & meta dps carry & cc/tranq/kicks (soa goliath) & covenant & etc class (which was the case for the whole .0 patch)and if pug raids were more accessible... literally every group takes only max ilvl (wonder why) and ppl with kills and meta classesyet so many guilds disband or fail or just aren't good enough to clear even aotc, and you cant keep changing g forever...(er or well the leaders are unrealized bosses irl and. xd)atm if you aren't top of the chart you can't, do anything and this is a problem - same as dealing with leavers in m+ :(
The biggest issue is that....everyone wants the biggest <censored?>.If people didn't care about damage meters and bosses went down with tactics rather than simple numbers everyone would be happy. Except the <censored?>ers. Which is fine.
I main arcane mage and I'd like to see some more numbers tuning, but I think we might need a little bit more of a revamp than a tune.
As long as ppl can play with their spec and do the tax i dont mind if they are meta or not. I never rejected anyone for being feral dudu for example, but when i know someone is doing huge dps but lets say dont soak, kill adds or help breaking out ppl from cages etc. I turn down without a second thought. I dont feel like the balance is so bad.
I do agree that AOE balancing was a crap show this patch. Single target was better but still not as good as it could have been. We also have the fact that for some specs there tier set wildly swings there balance. I believe that farther shows how much the team is struggling to stay on top of balance. Specs like BDK and suvival hunter needed some attention at a baseline in several situations. Instead set bonuses provided a temporary fix. This is not an acceptable solution going forward. Tier sets are meant to be used in one tier and replaced in the next. If one tier set gives us such a wild power spike it will feel bad or even difficult to give it up for a less powerful one next tier.I don't think the team is ready for this based on how slow balancing happened throught Shadowlands. To make matters worse the talent tree revamp will be holding a large amount of there attention and it is very possible some tier sets will force the usage of some talents due to the minimalistic baselines class kit.
When classes are doing 20-25% more than others in every situation, it shouldn't take an entire patch to fix. Buff the weak classes or nerf the outliers. It's not hard. They're just so wrapped up in appeasing the top .001% of players who play in the MDI and garner them streaming $$$. Look at how they're holding off Survival and Destro nerfs until next patch. So the tens of thousands of average players who play lesser specs and classes have to get rejected from groups in favor of terrible destro and surv players just so some MDI teams can keep their perfect comps? That's garbage.
