Didn't ask about bulkier Dragfyr so I don't care.
"What sword?"Didn't expect it, but damn that was hilarious and just cool imo.Good job Blizz for trying to communicate more now, really appriceate it. Hope it stays that way. :) (Don't need to tell me that they will still not listen yada yada yada I already have it in the back of my mind. Lets see for now)
"They're working on Encryption technology and want to get back to exploration and hidden things."Wowhead devs are going to lose things to post about, but I welcome discovery. That was the best part about the game before news outlets went overboard. I absolutely welcome the age of discovery. Well, as long as the discovered stuff isn't bad. Discovering bad things is never fun.
Did Ion.. have fun in that interview? He is usually lawyery and robotic but he seemed to genuinely have a good rapport going on here. It really did seem like he and Asmon had more in common opinion than difference, Like we would have seen with Preach's interviews for SL.Now if they actually do something with the sword it will be epic and if they don't it's an epic meme. Well played.
feels like seeing my divorced parents having an amicable conversation... weird.
Inb4 "X Item reserved" in every group description in LFG
Didn't feel like we got much from the interview. Was expecting more tbh
Ion also said they loved how Covenants turned out in resposne to the first question, and that they'd love to bring them forward in the game
General viewpoint on loot systems:100% Guild Groups have the option to set Master Looter or Personal Loot (this lets guild size/social climate dictate how to handle it). Anything queued for must be Personal Loot. No question. No way that ML works in LFR, and 5-man content is too small for it to matter if using the queue system. Mythic+ is not queued for, so the group can decide.Group Finder must be set prior to the group posting AND CANNOT BE CHANGED. Once you post the group, the loot type is locked in, and displayed in the listing. Also add a filter for ML/PL option.Being invited to a group directly will specify the loot system in the invite popup.Any change to the loot rules from a privately operated group (see: Not posted in Group Finder) must pass a vote, like a vote kick. But needs to be 75% in favour of the change. In all cases, once the first boss of a dungeon/raid lockout is killed, that instance/lockout is LOCKED to the loot rules for the rest of it.That should be enough safeguards.
Not many direct answers, a lot of "we are aware and looking into it/maybe in the future'' answers, but that was to be expected. Blizzard was doing a lot of interviews during the past week so there is really not much that they can answer and it wasn't answered already. 2 biggest points were master loot and addons and I have mixed response to those. I think master loot can coexist with personal loot and I think that's fine but I would be against them banning combat addons. Removing addons would be such a colossal task and it would bring more harm than good to the game so if you prefer raiding in a game where addons don't exist you can just play that game, WoW doesn't need to copy every single thing from other games. Also you can raid lower raid difficulties without addons so there are options for that as well you just need to set your goals realistically.
Same boring generic questions that have been asked a dozen times before and get the same boring vague "we're looking into it for the future" answers... what a waste of an interview.
Great interview. You can tell these are two people who genuinely love the game and have for a long time. They had their own language here that was lost on many of the commenters. :p
classic andys + those that havnt raidet or played m+ in 5 years spamming chat about "ban addons" .. yikes...
